SpringHill Suites by Marriott Anaheim Maingate
1160 W Ball Rd

The three-pearl SpringHill Suites Anaheim Maingate offers spacious and stylish suites in central Anaheim. It isn't as close to Disneyland as some other area hotels, but that's often reflected in the rates. A year-round outdoor heated pool, hot tub, and fitness center top the amenities list, and while the hotel lacks a restaurant, it offers a crowd-pleasing free hot breakfast buffet. The 120 spacious and colorful suites feature sofa beds, iPod docks, 42-inch flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and free Wi-Fi. One-bedroom suites with full kitchens are available. The Best Western Plus Park Place Inn - Mini Suites is directly across from the Disneyland entrance, but not all units are suites and it doesn’t have a fitness center.

Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim
1221 S Harbor Blvd

With modern touches and contemporary furnishings, the mid-range Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim strives to offer an upscale experience at a budget price, and does a fairly good job at it. Its location near the Disney Parks and the Anaheim Garden Walk makes it convenient for families and leisure travelers, and extra touches such as free Wi-Fi, an on-site restaurant and bar, a stylish business center, and a variety of meeting spaces and ballrooms add value for business travelers. All rooms are spacious, especially the extra-large family suites. Some of the rooms and public areas feel a bit worn, and some past guests have complained that the Wi-Fi signal in rooms is weak.

Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites
424 W Katella Ave

The budget Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites’ trio of convenient location, affordable rates, and spacious rooms makes it a popular choice for Disney-bound groups and families, and convention-goers. Family owned and operated since 1997, the motor-court style hotel with exterior corridors and a heated outdoor pool is within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland Resort. Disney tickets are available at the front desk. The Anaheim GardenWalk and its numerous restaurants and movie theaters is across the street. A light continental breakfast is included in the room rates, along with parking and Wi-Fi, and there's a guest laundry room on-site. Its 34 rooms include microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and flat-screen TVs, but bathrooms are basic and on the small side. Travelers could also consider the nearby Best Western Plus Pavilions, which has comparable rates and amenities, and a bigger breakfast.

Castle Inn and Suites
1734 South Harbor Blvd.

The 190-room Castle Inn and Suites has a facade that resembles a castle and a Renaissance-themed lobby. The hotel's location is its biggest draw, just steps from Disneyland and near many affordable chain restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean, but dated, and come with coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and microwaves. There is an outdoor pool, whirlpool, and children's pool on-site. The fourth-floor balcony is an excellent viewing point for the Disneyland fireworks, but there's no on-site gym or restaurant.

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel
900 South Disneyland Drive

Occupying a sprawling Tudor-style manor on pretty garden-filled grounds, this upper-middle-range hotel draws families with kids headed to nearby Disney, which is just a minute's drive away. The castle-like theme is played up in many of its 489 guest rooms, which are spacious and come with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers -- but some are still due for renovation and showers could use an update. The hotel has a cozy lobby lounge bar as well as a bistro with outdoor seating, plus there's a shop selling snacks. An outdoor pool and whirlpool are other well-liked perks, as is the free shuttle to Disney, but the daily parking fee is a big downer. The nearby Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground is even closer to Disneyland and has a mini-water park, but it lacks a restaurant/bar.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
1600 S Disneyland Dr

As the sole upscale hotel available right in the heart of the Disneyland Resort, there is no other Anaheim property quite like Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The 948 guest rooms are the area’s only ones with direct access to Disney California Adventure, thanks to an exclusive entrance to the theme park. The beautiful Craftsman-style hotel is equally family-friendly and swanky with sizable rooms and suites, Disney Vacation Club Villas, a trio of pools, waterslides, a Mandara Spa, four dining and bar venues, ample conference space, and free Wi-Fi. No competitor comes close to its prime location, but its premium amenities do command a high price. For much lower rates, the [Desert Palms Hotel & Suites]( Share Pin Tweet Email View All Hotels in Anaheim Desert Palms Hotel & Suites) is walkable to the park and has a heated outdoor pool.

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Anaheim (1 BLK/Disneyland)
1240 South Walnut

The main selling point of this mid-range Holiday Inn hotel is its proximity to Downtown Disney District -- a 14-minute walk to be precise -- though getting up to Disneyland gates is best by car, bus, or monorail. While rooms are generally smart and modern, some are on the small side and showing signs of wear. Suites for kids add cartoon-theme decor and separate playrooms with Xbox 360 consoles, while outside a splash park keeps little ones entertained. Although occasionally prone to shade, an outdoor pool and whirlpool tub are a bonus, and an all-day restaurant offers deals on drinks and free meals for kids. The Hotel Menage, however, offers a larger saltwater pool closer to Disneyland, and for around the same price.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground
1380 South Harbor Boulevard

The mid-range Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground is a great pick for families, with its own mini water park, large game room, and convenient location under a 10-minute walk from Disneyland. Clean rooms have soundproofed walls that keep freeway noise at bay, and are outfitted with an array of convenient amenities, such as mini-fridges, coffeemakers, microwaves, and free Wi-Fi. Some units have balconies and/or Disneyland Resort views, though non-renovated rooms are a tad plain and dated. A convenience store is well-stocked and prices are reasonable, but the hotel lacks a full restaurant. The on-site Disneyland Resort ticket desk, discounts for Annual Passport holders, and large heated outdoor pool are all great perks that add value. It’s worth comparing rates with the Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort Convention Center.

Comfort Inn Anaheim Resort
300 E Katella Way

With colorful, modern rooms, convenient features, and a quiet location close to the highway, the Comfort Inn & Suites Anaheim Disneyland Resort is a solid budget choice. Many of the 133 spacious rooms boast views of the nightly Disneyland fireworks display, and the large outdoor pool and free daily hot breakfast are great extras. The property is a 10-minute drive from Disneyland and the hotel does not offer a shuttle, so travelers planning to visit the parks will need to make their own travel arrangements. Both Wi-Fi and parking are free.

Hotel Pepper Tree Boutique Kitchen Studios - Anaheim
2375 W Lincoln Ave

Geared toward Anaheim visitors who want their own en-suite kitchen, the mid-range Pepper Tree is an affordable option a short drive from the Disney Parks, the Anaheim Convention Center, and Knott's Berry Farm. It's across the street from a supermarket and all rooms come with kitchens, making it a good choice for people wanting to do their own cooking. It is a bit too far to walk to Disneyland and the California Adventure Park; guests wanting to be closer to the parks may prefer one of the closer properties, such as the Carousel Inn and Suites.
