This hotel was significantly impacted by Hurricane Irma** in September 2017 and is currently closed. The hotel hopes to reopen in June 2018. We will update our review as soon as we have more information.** The upper-middle-range Marquis Boutique Hotel and Spa is a boutique hillside property overlooking the gorgeous mountainous Anse Marcel region. All 17 rooms are spacious and have paintings by local artist Francis Eck on the walls. Though the rooms aren't particularly luxurious they come with balconies and mountain views. Perks such as free Wi-Fi, an extensive room service menu, a small pool with a bar, and on-site spa services add to the hotel’s appeal. While the hotel's reasonably remote location ensures quiet and a sense of solitude, it may be a drawback for some. LOVE, another small boutique hotel, has a more central location on the beach in Grand Case and has similar amenities.

Easily the most luxurious resort in St. Martin, the 55-acre La Samanna resort brings tranquility to an otherwise tourist-filled island. Featuring two beautiful pools, an extensive wine cellar, a yoga and Pilates studio, a European-style spa, and the island's most pristine beach, this 81-room, eight-villa retreat is hard to beat. The vibe is about as fancy as it gets for St. Martin, so of course everything -- from the nightly rates to the dinners and spa treatments -- comes at a sky-high cost.

Le Beach Hotel is a mid-range beachside property, a 10-minute walk from Marigot's shops and restaurants. The basic rooms leave a lot to be desired, though all include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Features include a decent-size pool area overlooking the ocean, a smallish but ample beach with a bar, and an on-site restaurant. Room rates are on the high side, but most include free breakfast. Mercure Saint-Martin Marina & Spa up the road has slightly lower rates and more contemporary rooms.
