Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh
Ras Nasrani Bay

The Baron Resort is an upscale 360-room complex overlooking the Red Sea on the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula. Its expansive green grounds are well-tended and include a large central swimming pool and a wide sandy beach. Rooms are spacious and modern, if a little characterless, though most of them have lovely sea views. Restaurants, bars, and leisure facilities are abundant, which is useful as there's nothing walkable, and the Sharm El Sheikh tourist center is a 20-minute drive away. Overall, the decent all-inclusive plan makes it a strong contender, though it's worth comparing rates with the neighboring Sensatori Sharm El-Sheikh by Coral Sea, which has more sophisticated rooms. Couples may also want to consider the adult-only sister resort, Baron Palms, but note that it's farther from the beach and that its rooms lack sea views.

Baron Palms Resort Sharm El Sheikh
Qesm Sharm Ash Sheikh, P.C. 46619, Ras Nasrani Bay

At just 230 rooms, the Baron Palms Resort is one of the smaller all-inclusive complexes of its kind in the area, and is a 20-minute drive to the nightlife in Naama Bay. Facilities are still abundant, however, with plenty of restaurants, bars, two large pools, a spa, and luxurious touches like padded loungers and poolside drinks service. The beautiful private beach, though a short walk away from the property, provides a peaceful experience as this is an adult-only resort. Rooms have some authentic touches and balconies, though none have sea views; if that's a priority, consider the sister Barons Resort next door, which allows families and is closer to the beach.

Dreams Beach Resort
Um El Sid Cliff

The family-friendly Dreams Beach Resort is an upper-middle-range all-inclusive hotel located in the quieter area of Sharm el Sheikh and about a 10-minute drive south of its lively tourist center. There are plenty of facilities, including five pools, five restaurants, and enough activities to keep the kids happy, but parts of the resort look tired. Though the beach is small and man-made, there's a jetty that leads to the coral reef and offers great snorkeling. Rooms are clean and spacious, if a bit dated, though rates are competitive for this caliber, which makes this property a good deal in an area swarming with competitors. Travelers seeking an all-inclusive resort with a proper beach and more for the little ones might want to consider the nearby Coral Sea Waterworld Resort.

Xperience Sea Breeze Resort
Sharks Bay

The 304-room Xperience Sea Breeze Resort is an upscale, adults-only complex located in Shark's Bay, a 10-minute drive from Sharm El Sheikh's Naama Bay tourist hub. It ticks all of the boxes as far as facilities, with plenty of pools, bars, and better food than most all-inclusive resorts. However, it lacks the spacious grounds of many similar properties in the area and its sloping, hillside setting also means there's a lot of steps to navigate. Rooms are spacious and some have balconies with sea views. The snorkeling just offshore is excellent and the rooftop shisha cafe stands out, though those seeking a proper beach might want to consider the nearby Baron Palms instead.

Il Mercato Hotel & Spa
Hadabet Om El Seed, Om El Seid hill, Sharm El sheikh, south Sinai

Iberotel Il Mercato is an upscale, 318-room resort located in the center of Sharm El Sheikh's Il Mercato retail and entertainment promenade. While the location means there's no beach on-site (instead there is a free shuttle to one), there is an abundance of bars, shops, and eateries in the immediate surrounds. Bright and spacious rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, and most have private balconies. Three outdoor pools, a decent spa, and a choice of restaurants are on offer, though the hotel can't compete with the facilities of some of the larger resorts in the area, like the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort nearby (which is only slightly pricier and has a private beach).

Island View Resort
Shark's Bay

The Island View Resort is an upper-middle-range, all-inclusive complex overlooking Shark's Bay and a 10-minute drive to Sharm El Sheikh's main tourist center. While both the reception and gardens are attractive and well-maintained, many parts of the resort look dated and in need of a revamp. Rooms feel a little old-fashioned as well, though they are clean and some offer sea views. There are four swimming pools that include a waterslide and kids' pool as well as a private beach with a coral reef. Dining options consist of three restaurants as well as a range of bars, including poolside and beach. Overall, this is a good value option (if nowhere near advertised five-star standards), though for a little more polish, travelers might want to consider the Jaz Mirabel Park or Jaz Mirable Beach.

Xperience Kiroseiz Parkland
Naama Bay, PO Box 4

Xperience Kiroseiz Parkland is a 700-room, upper-middle-range resort set on the west side of Naama Bay, Sharm El Sheikh's main tourist hub. While less polished than some comparable properties -- parts of the resort could use a makeover -- it still features ample facilities including 18 bars and restaurants, three pools, and a small water park. The hotel lacks direct access to the sea, which might be a deal-breaker for some, and spacious rooms have a simple, spartan quality to them. Overall, it's a relatively cheap and cheerful option close to most of the action, though travelers seeking something with a beach should consider the nearby Moevenpick Resort.

Sultan Gardens Resort
Coastal Road

The Sultan Gardens Resort is an upscale, 520-room property set on extensive grounds in the Shark’s Bay area of Sharm El Sheikh. Popular with families and couples, it has ample kids' facilities as well as an adult-only dining room and pool. It's one of a few hotels in the area with in-room Wi-Fi (for a fee) and though rooms look a little dated, they include flat-screen TVs. While younger couples might prefer the Xperience Sea Breeze Resort next door, there's still plenty for all ages -- and with a three-tier all-inclusive plan -- for various budgets.
