On 12 acres of private park grounds, the Golf Hotel Punta Ala (part of the JSH Hotels & Resorts group) is a seasonal, mid-range hotel located in the Tuscan village of Punta Ala, on the the Maremma coast. The big attraction is the 18-hole golf course with views of the sea. However, other amenities one would expect for families and couples are also present, including a pool, spa, and fitness center. The property isn't directly on the water and though guests do have access to a private stretch of sand, complete with a restaurant and bar, this beach is somewhat of a walk from the hotel (free shuttle service is available). Elegant, modern updates are apparent throughout the interiors. Age shows in some places, though, most noticeably in the Standard Rooms, whose furnishings and bathrooms look a bit worn. The Golf Hotel Punta Ala has a similar range of amenities for a lower rate than some nearby properties like the nearby La Bussola, but lacks the beachfront location and ocean views that those hotels offer.
