Kota Beach Resort is a small, lower-middle-range beach resort with 34 rooms located on Bantayan Island to the northwest of Cebu. The resort offers a mix of rooms and stand-alone beachfront cottages, some of which come with unobstructed views of the ocean. While low-frills rooms are adequate for the price, there have been plenty of complaints of maintenance issues, and the worn, entry-level Non-Aircon Rooms are best avoided for those sensitive to hot climates. Limited amenities include a restaurant and a bar with a pool table, but the property's star attraction is its gorgeous white-sand beach, complete with a volleyball net and a small shoal that's suitable for splashing about. Families may also want to consider the budget-friendly Anika Island Resort, which has a similar beach, rooms with TVs, and a tiny playground.
