An historic grande dame of a hotel on the Place des Pyramides, the Regina was renovated in 2014 but maintains a classic, elegant ambiance. Hotel De Buci by MH is the quintessential French hotel in the quintessential Parisian neighborhood. The four-pearl property stands in St-Germain-des-Pres in the 6th Arrondissement, with 24 guest rooms that feature chateau-style decor—colorful toile wallpaper, ornate canopies, and pinch pleat drapes—and upscale amenities like flat-screen TVs, well-stocked minibars, electric kettles, and L'Occitane bath products. The 29-room Hotel Moliere is an upscale, boutique property exceptionally well-situated in Paris' 1st Arrondissement, within a three-minute walk of the Palais-Royal and a six-minute walk of the Louvre. The common areas are an elegant blend of classic and modern style, and though guest room decor is more neutral, rooms are large and include such amenities as well-stocked minibars and espresso-makers. The hotel has a small fitness area, sauna, and steam room, plus a chic breakfast room, though breakfast is not included in the room rate. While the Moliere is excellent value for the location, travelers might want to also check out the nearby Hotel Brighton, which sits alongside Tuileries Garden and has fun extras like a bar and tea room with designer pastries, though it has no fitness or wellness center, and tends to be slightly pricier.

The Hotel Duc de Saint-Simon is a classic choice for those seeking a traditional Parisian hotel with romantic and historic flair. This is where Lauren Bacall stayed while in Paris (always in Suite One, if you're wondering), which might help describe the clientele here: people of a certain age, with a certain budget. Most of them are quite loyal to the hotel, thanks to its atmosphere and great Left Bank location in tony Saint-Germain-des-Pres. Saint Simon serves breakfast and cocktails in its underground cave, which is richly decorated with oil paintings and Persian rugs. A similarly ornate, Old World decor is found in all of the 34 rooms, which include flat-screen TVs, large bathrooms (by European standards), and plush bathrobes. For a high-design hotel with more amenities, like a spa and full restaurant, check out the nearby Bel Ami Hotel.

Hotel Le Six is a 41-room boutique hotel situated on a quiet street near the lively Latin Quarter. Its contemporary rooms include minibars, espresso machines, and handsome slate bathrooms with robes and L'Occitane products. Situated in the classy Opera district near the Louvre Museum, the 64-room hotel is well-priced for the area, and its location is an excellent springboard for exploring Paris hotspots. Rooms are small, but immaculate and comfortable, with crisp, modern decor, and free minibar soft drinks. There is free Wi-Fi, and free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are offered every afternoon. Duplex rooms are ideal for traveling families, though there is a narrow spiral staircase that may be dangerous for little ones. Travelers might also like the spacious, apartment-style rooms at nearby [Citadine Prestige Les Halles](Citadines Prestige Les Halles), which have kitchenettes, but no free minibars.

Hotel Muguet is a widely adored, family-run boutique hotel within a 15-minute walk of the Eiffel Tower, the Invalides, and the Rodin Museum. Most of the 40 spotless rooms are a decent size for Paris, and all come with LED TVs, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi, but no mini-fridges. The hotel's most special rooms have a view of the Eiffel Tower or the gold dome of Invalides. As a small Parisian hotel, there is only one common area to speak of: the skylit breakfast room, where, for a fee, guests can begin their day with unlimited eggs, sausage, bacon, and pastries. The nearby Hotel Jardins d'Eiffel is a good option for travelers looking for in-room minibars and on-site parking.

The luxury Westin Paris-Vendome is centrally located in the 1st Arrondissement, within walking distance of the Louvre. Its 348 rooms and 80 suites, some of which have views of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Tuileries, or the Place de la Concorde, mix traditional and contemporary decor. The fitness center has a range of cardio- and weight-training equipment, and running maps are available for those who prefer to jog outside. Downsides include a scarcity of electrical outlets in rooms, no spa, and small bathrooms. The hotel also has 13 meeting rooms and a ballroom with murals and chandeliers. Travelers seeking a more historical property might want to consider the nearby Le Meurice, although rates will be higher.
