Parsons Post House Inn
101 Pitt St, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464, USA

Don't let the intimate size of the Parsons Post House Inn fool you: Most of the cozy rooms have a modern look, sporting a subtle beach theme with comfortable white linens and light sand-colored walls. The bathrooms are clean and a little cramped (counter space is practically non-existent), but they do have soft towels and good water pressure. The small but charming outdoor patio is great for taking advantage of the sea breeze coming from the beach, just a block away. If you're looking for a true Ogunquit experience, this is one of your safest bets. Note that the hotel closes during the winter months. tag:revisit 4/15/2013

The Grand Hotel
276 Shore Rd

The Grand Hotel is a charming value property with a hot tub, porch with rocking chairs, and an indoor heated pool. All rooms have balconies or patios; some also have fireplaces. The underground garage -- reachable by elevator -- provides free parking and the location allows guests to walk to Perkins Cove or hop on the trolley that stops outside. A free breakfast is served in the atrium lobby and the nearby sister hotel has an outdoor pool and tennis court. The Anchorage By the Sea may appeal more to travelers seeking a beachfront vacation.

Juniper Hill Inn
336 Main St, PO Box 2190

The Juniper Hill Inn is mid-range hotel on a sprawling, five-acre property with expansive lawns and leafy trees. The hotel has a motel-like look and feel, with a a number of buildings and a range of rooms -- from the plain Standard to the two-bedroom Cottage at Acorn Lane -- that open onto parking lots. Amenities are basic: free continental breakfast, an indoor pool and two outdoor pools with whirlpools, a small fitness center, and laundry facilities on premises. The Juniper Hill Inn also has a back path to the beach so guests can avoid the main road, and the village center is about a five-minute walk away. The hotel's amenities and price are comparable to others in its class in the area, but most rooms at sister property Gorges Grant Hotel are nicer.
