Preskil's location is superlative; a 15-minute drive from the airport, the all-inclusive sits on a peninsula in Mauritius' largest lagoon, with views of the crystal-clear water, green mountains, and lagoon islands. Features are extensive and include two pools, three restaurants, a kids' club, and spa -- but the most enticing is the wide beachfront expanse with free water sports, like sailing, water skiing, and stand-up paddleboarding. All rooms at Preskil come with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, free tea and coffee, and either balconies or terraces. The nearby Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa is more luxurious and elaborate, but rates are higher and airport noise more intrusive there.
