The 158-room Welcome Hotel Stockholm is a mid-range suburban property that draws families, groups, and business travelers (it has several meeting and conference rooms). Although located on the outskirts of Stockholm -- and its reasonable rates reflect that --  the hotel is close to a train station and the E18 highway. Rooms are small and simple, decorated in a clean but cozy Scandinavian style. The Bistro Welcome serves a tasty breakfast buffet as well as lunch and dinner. There is an outdoor pool open in the summer months, as well as a fitness center and sauna. Be aware that the rooms are not air-conditioned.
