The Melia Grand Hermitage is a huge upscale resort set on a hillside and beach in the popular Black Sea area of Golden Sands. Facilities are suitably extensive, and particularly family-friendly with several pools, a kids' club, and waterslides. While dining doesn't always hit the mark, there's plenty of choice and much of it covered in the all-inclusive rate. The 727 rooms and suites are certainly spacious and all open to balconies or terraces, though guests need to upgrade to The Level for the more upscale amenities and the best ocean views. Many of the downsides here are related to the hotel's size: long lines, rushed housekeeping, and slow elevators. Those traveling without kids might prefer the more adult-oriented International Hotel Casino & Tower Suites, which features a casino and infinity pool.
