Hotel Club Marina Viva
D 55

Located within a five-minute walk of Porticco's beach, the three-pearl Hotel Club Marina Viva has two main sections: one that's close to the Corsica coastline with a bit of a party atmosphere and another across the street consisting of extended-stay apartments with full kitchens. The 331-room property is family friendly, with plenty of activities, including an outdoor pool and tennis courts, and babysitting services are available. Be aware, though, that not all rooms have been renovated. Another family-oriented option in Corsica is the mid-range San Lucianu Beach Resort - Mark Warner, though its rooms are also going through renovations.

Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Ajaccio Bay
Agosta Plage, 20166 Porticcio, Corsica France

This 170-room upscale resort has a beautiful beachfront location on Ajaccio Bay and appealing amenities for leisure travelers to Corsica. There are a good Mediterranean restaurant, a gorgeous infinity pool, and a lovely spa with a sauna, pool, and hammam. The kids’ club is free, as are parking and Wi-Fi. Stylish, well-appointed rooms have modern bathrooms and quality amenities, like minibars, furnished terraces, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. However, the rates are one of the highest in the area, and extras like breakfast and spa access add up. For another option, Hotel Club Marina Viva is at a lower price point and has full kitchens for added convenience, but it is not as stylish.

Best Western Santa Maria
Rte du Port, Bp 107

The 56-room Best Western Santa Maria is an upper-middle-range property, peacefully located on a private beach near L'ille Rousse's town and port. Its peninsular positioning affords sensational views from upgraded rooms, terraces, and a swish outdoor pool and hot tub, although the latter two are only available in the summer, as are light lunches at the bar. There's no full restaurant, but buffet breakfasts are offered. Rooms are contemporary and elegant, outfitted with flat-screen TVs, kettles, and furnished outdoor spaces/ Additional amenities include a tiny gym, meeting room, and limited parking. The more competitively priced L'escale Cote Sud is more centrally located, but it lacks a beach and pool.

Santa Giulia Palace
Baie de Santa Giulia

The 70-room, upper-middle-range Residence Santa Giulia Palace offers apartment and suite rentals off the coast of beautiful Porto Vecchio. Rooms vary with either fresh or old-fashioned decor, but all have living rooms, dining areas, and stocked kitchens with ovens and washing machines. Housecleaning costs extra though. On-site facilities are limited given the self-catering setups, but there are three gorgeous pools and hiking trails through the natural terrain past the buildings. There are also a breakfast buffet available for purchase and free Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel. For a more traditional hotel experience, consider Hotel Costa Salina, a quiet waterfront property near the city harbor.
