DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge
550 Village Road

The DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge is a three-and-a-half pearl chain hotel with alpine ski lodge style that's a five-minute walk from multiple Peak Nine chair lifts at Breckenridge Ski Resort. While it isn't a ski-in/ski-out resort, the 208-room hotel offers decent Rocky Mountain views from some rooms, two pools, and multiple hot tubs plus two restaurants and a bar. Rooms are homey, with flat-screen TVs and one-cup coffeemakers, and DoubleTree's signature chocolate chip cookies given at check-in are always a nice touch. It’s worth comparing rates to the Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center, which has similar features plus direct ski-in/ski-out access to Peak Nine.

The Village Hotel
535 South Park Lane

The mid-range Village Hotel is part of the Village at Breckenridge, and it offers a great location near the Quicksilver ski lift and the shops and restaurants along Main Street. The property's 60 guest rooms have Keurig coffeemakers and mini-fridges, but they’re dated, with cramped bathrooms. Hotel guests get access to the Village's amenities, many of which are located at the Village Resort next door. Highlights include free breakfast during ski season, fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpools, restaurants, and ski services. Underground parking, Wi-Fi, and shuttles are covered by the hotel's daily resort fee. Travelers looking for accommodations with kitchens who don't mind spending a bit more may want to consider spacious condos at the Village Resort.

One Ski Hill Place, A RockResort
1521 Ski Hill Road

One Ski Hill Place is one of the most luxurious lodges in Breckenridge, with attractive condo-style units featuring gourmet kitchens, beautiful bathrooms (almost all with soaking tubs), and moss rock gas fireplaces. It also offers the most features of any resort in the area, including a two-lane bowling alley, two screening rooms, a billiards room, and an indoor pool area. It has a ski-in/ski-out location right on Peak 8, but getting to Main Street requires a trip on the Breck-Connect Gondola.

Wedgewood Lodge
535 Four O'Clock Rd

Situated within a few minutes’ walk of Breckenridge’s Main Street and across the street from a chairlift, the Wedgewood Lodge is a solid mid-range choice for those who prefer to cook their own meals and don't mind the property's absence of on-site dining options. All rooms are equipped with full kitchens and there are communal indoor and outdoor hot tubs (although they can get crowded). It is considerably more affordable than most ski-in/ski-out options in Breckenridge, especially for larger groups and families.

Crystal Peak Lodge
1891 Ski Hill Road

The Crystal Peak Lodge is one of the higher-end properties in Breckenridge, and has a great winter location on Peak 7, right on the Breck-Connect Gondola line. Upscale details can be found throughout, including exposed wood beams in the open common area, and stone fireplaces in the big, individually owned condos. There are two Jacuzzis on-site, but no pool -- though guests have free access to One Ski Hill Place's amenities, including the indoor pools, the two-lane Mine Shaft Bowling alley, and media rooms.

Park Meadows Lodge Breckenridge
110 Sawmill Road, Check In : 213 North Main St

The condos at Park Meadows are a little on the dated side, but offer good value if what you really want is proximity to the slopes and the ease of walking to nightlife. Don’t expect too many amenities from this small chalet-style condominium, though -- two Jacuzzis, in-room ski lockers, decent ski-in/ski-out access and free Wi-Fi are the biggest draws.

Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge
655 Columbine Road

The upper-middle-range Marriot’s Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge is within walking distance of downtown Breckenridge and a short drive to many attractions. With a view of the mountains, the heated outdoor pool and four hot tubs are a guest favorite, though the fitness center is impressive as well. It may be a large, impersonal hotel, but it’s comprehensive in features that encourage camaraderie such as a family-friendly game room, a sundeck with grills, and a lounge room with a pool table and board games, though there's no restaurant on-site. The 111 guest rooms are homey and modern with flat-screen TVs, full kitchens, and private balconies, though they lack air-conditioning. Travelers might also want to consider the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Breckenridge, which has similar rates and offers a restaurant and breakfast buffet.
