Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi
777 Beach Blvd.

The upscale Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is a hip and stylish casino resort that can be a ton of fun for couples and groups who like to party. Public spaces resemble a rock music museum, with colorfully illuminated displays of memorabilia. There’s as much to do as see, with a casino, full-service spa and salon, concert hall, disco, huge outdoor pool, and nine restaurants. The 479 rooms are spacious, and modern, with distinctive designs that include large walk-in showers and beautiful twin vanities in either granite or marble. But as a party-oriented hotel, things can get a little loud at times. And while rates are generally reasonable, they can spike on weekends. Travelers might want to comparison shop with the Beau Rivage Resort &Casino Biloxi next door, which can offer lower rates.

Harrah's Gulf Coast
280 Beach Boulevard

The upper-middle-range Harrah's Gulf Coast is a huge casino and golf resort located in Biloxi, Mississippi, a three-minute walk from the nearest beach. The 500 rooms are attractive, with modern purple furnishings, coffeemakers, and 49-inch flat-screen TVs. Many have views out on the gulf, but smoking is allowed in some and the smell can linger in the hallways. Amenities include a casino with slots and table games, a huge outdoor pool, a lovely spa with a fitness center, and a wide range of restaurants. Valet and self-parking are included in room rates. However, there's not much going on for kids, and families with young ones might want to consider somewhere a little more age-appropriate, such as the enormous Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi, which even has a video game arcade.

IP Casino Resort Spa - Biloxi
850 Bayview Ave

The four-pearl IP Casino Resort Spa – Biloxi is a modern destination resort located on Biloxi’s Back Bay. While it’s a bit isolated from the Gulf beaches, the 1,088-room high-rise offers everything most travelers are looking for in a casino resort. It features one of Biloxi’s largest casinos, multiple nightclubs and restaurants, full-service spa, huge pool, fitness center, fashion boutique, and a theater that hosts big-name entertainers. Guest rooms have contemporary decor with a dash of style, and they're nicely equipped with mini-fridges, coffeemakers, robes, and safes. Free Wi-Fi, parking, and gym access are part of the daily resort fee that irks some guests. For a Gulf-front resort, travelers can consider Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi

Quality Inn Biloxi Beach by the Coliseum
2414 Beach Blvd

The 148-room Quality Inn Biloxi is a budget hotel offering decent rooms and features for the price. A huge perk of the property is its position across the street from a public beach, though it can't be seen from guest rooms. Rooms do have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers, but some furnishings have stains and the carpet needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The outdoor swimming pool, free continental breakfast, and Wi-Fi add to its value. Overall it's a solid economy pick, especially if you're planning on spending time at the beach or the nearby Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. For closer access to the casinos, check out the similar BEST WESTERN Oak Manor.

Hampton Inn Biloxi
1138 Beach Blvd

The lower-middle-range Hampton Inn Biloxi is a solid option for tourists and business travelers who prefer not to stay in the area’s bustling casino hotels. The Hampton Inn is located just across Beach Boulevard from the Gulf of Mexico and a four-minute drive from the Hard Rock casino. The hotel offers all the amenities that make it a popular chain, including free hot breakfast, a laundry room, and free Wi-Fi and parking. It also has a fitness center and outdoor pool, but both are on the small side. Rooms are clean and spacious, and come with microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Many rooms feature sweeping views of the Gulf, and some have whirlpool tubs and sleeper sofas. The nearby historic White House Hotel often has similar rates, as well as a larger pool and popular restaurant/bar for only slightly higher rates.

Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel
1980 Beach Blvd

The upper-middle-range Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel is a smaller and generally quieter casino hotel than many of its much larger, glitzier neighbors. Yes, it has a casino, offers five restaurants/lounges, and has a multi-level pool complex, but it still has a fairly intimate ambiance -- and it's across the street from the beach. Its 202 rooms are clean and spacious, with especially nice bathrooms that feature flat-screen TVs and rainfall showers. But, smoke tends to drift around the hotel from the casino, and rooms don’t have mini-fridges or microwaves. Rates are consistently among the lowest offered by area casino hotels and therefore, it sells out at times. A backup could be the nearby, upper-middle-range South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites that offers large suites with kitchenettes, though it's pricier and does not have a casino.

Golden Nugget Biloxi
151 Beach Blvd

The upper-middle-range Golden Nugget Biloxi is a casino resort destination with a slight Vegas feel, located a half mile from the beach. Many guests stay put to enjoy the tricked-out pools, spa, bars, chain restaurants, and 24-hour gambling. The Golden Nugget is not an ideal family vacation spot as the vibe and entertainment are adult -- even the pool is high-end and clubby. This is the kind of place that charges a damages deposit upfront. The 704 guest rooms are spacious and sophisticated. High rollers will want to check out the luxurious Spa Suite with a full living room and artificial grass patio. South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites is in the same price range, and is right on the beach.

White House Hotel
1230 Beach Blvd

The four-pearl White House Hotel offers a pleasant alternative to Biloxi’s large and busy casino hotels. This lovely boutique property dates back to the 1890s and exudes understated elegance, set on beautiful grounds. Highlights include a spacious outdoor pool, free breakfast, and a full-service restaurant and bar that's popular with locals and guests alike. There's also a 24-hour gym, but it's sparsely equipped. Its 76 guest rooms are bright and have contemporary decor, and all come with flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, robes, and bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers and high-end Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, but only Suites include mini-fridges and microwaves. Travelers looking for units with kitchenettes can check rates at South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites.

Best Western Oak Manor
886 Beach Blvd

The 116-room BEST WESTERN Oak Manor is a solid value hotel for travelers visiting Biloxi. It's conveniently located near the beach and both the Hard Rock Hotel and Beau Rivage casinos. Rooms have generic, bland decor, but they're spacious and feature flat-screen TVs. In addition to the perk of free Wi-Fi and parking, there's a small outdoor pool and generous free continental breakfast. Note that it can be loud when busy and some guests report cigarette burns in the carpet and the smell of smoke.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi
875 Beach Blvd

The 1,740-room Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is an upper-middle-range hotel along the coast in Biloxi. An MGM Resorts International property, the Beau Rivage has all that you'd expect from a casino hotel -- multiple restaurants, meeting and event spaces, and an arcade to keep the kids busy. Other amenities include a spa and salon, outdoor swimming pool, and 18-hole golf course for guests only. The guest rooms and suites have classic furnishings in gold tones, as well as flat-screen TVs, bathtubs, and separate walk-in showers. Free Wi-Fi and valet parking add to its value. If the furnishings are a little too dated for your taste, check out the more modern Hard Rock Hotel & Casino next door.
