It's a good choice for travelers wanting a stylish boutique hotel, but the Hotel Lumen Paris Louvre is only slightly pricier and far more central, though it lacks a fitness room and sauna.

Hotel le Tourville, a four-pearl boutique property in the sedate 7th Arrondissement, is about a 15-minute walk to Paris' most iconic sight -- the Eiffel Tower. Modern with a sleek, muted decor, this quiet hotel pays tribute to the writing life, with an antique typewriter and books on display. It has a small lounge with an honesty bar and a breakfast room with a vaulted ceiling, and most of its 30 rooms come with smartphones -- all include iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, kettles, and free Wi-Fi. Suites add jetted tubs and espresso machines. Travelers could also consider the Hotel La Bourdonnais in the same area -- it's closer to the Eiffel Tower, and rates tend to be slightly higher. 

The 16-room Hotel Motte Picquet is a charming boutique with Rococo style and contemporary design situated in a peaceful neighborhood near the Eiffel Tower. The Rue Cler, a cobblestone street lined with open-air food vendors, is nearby. Rooms are colorful and inviting with jewel-toned walls, fun use of patterns, and ornate wood-and-gilt mirrors. Many guests comment positively on the warm reception of staff and the cleanliness of rooms, but there are few amenities on-site and there is a fee for breakfast.

The 23-room Le Petit Chomel is a charming, mid-range, boutique hotel with colorful decor that feels at once homey and fresh. Well-located in Paris' 7th Arrondissement, the hotel is walking distance to the metro, the Seine, and luxury shops, restaurants, and Parisian hotspots. Rooms are individually decorated, spotless, and comfortable (though often small) and feature flat-screen TVs, minibars, and modern bathrooms, though there's no in-room coffee and tea service. Hotel du Cadran Tour Eiffel is a mid-range boutique with an excellent location in the 7th arrondissement near the Eiffel Tower, just off the bustling pedestrian shopping street Rue Cler and an easy walk to the metro. The hotel's 53 rooms (located in the main building and an across-the-street annex) are small, but a 2018 renovation left them stylish and equipped with flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, and modern bathrooms. The vaulted-cellar breakfast room is also striking, and the breakfast buffet is solid (guests have the option of adding it to their rates). The Hotel du Champ de Mars right across the street is another mid-range boutique option offering more traditional decor with a dash of country charm.

Eiffel Rive Gauche is a hidden gem along a quiet street near the Eiffel Tower. This three-pearl property has a chic interior, and like many boutique hotels in the city, offers only a few amenities such as a breakfast buffet, a free evening reception with wine, and a public computer. The 29 homey rooms don’t offer a lot of space (or air-conditioning), but they do include flat-screen TVs, and some have views of the Eiffel Tower. Still, it may be worth checking the prices at the nearby Hotel du Cadran, which has rooms with air-conditioning, spacious bathrooms, and minibars.
