Each of the basic 110 rooms and apartments at the Panos Bay Hotel has a kitchenette and a balcony. The property is particularly suitable for those with young children, thanks to a well-organized kids' club, a sizable kids' pool, and free admission to the neighboring water park, which has its own outdoor play areas. The hotel sits within Tsilivi, though at the edge of town and slightly away from the commercial center.
Scene
Casual property popular with families
Families with children dominate the scene here, likely because all guests get free admission to the neighboring Tsilivi Waterpark. The casual lobby is done up in tile and wood laminate, with plaid-backed cafe chairs and tables surrounding a self-serve bar. The pool area is flanked by several shaded sections and plenty of tables and lounge chairs, and is enclosed by cheery three-story buildings that house the guest rooms.
Location
On a city street near shops and restaurants, a few hundred feet from the beach
The hotel is situated within the city limits of Tsilivi on a small, quiet street east of the town center. The property is within easy walking distance of plenty of bars and restaurants and is a three-minute walk from the taxi and city bus station, and a five-minute walk to the beach. The airport takes around 20 minutes to reach by car or taxi.
Rooms
Plain rooms with tile floors, wood laminate furniture, and kitchenettes
All of the rooms at the Planos Bay have balconies, many of which overlook the two pools. Decor here borders on drab, with imitation terra-cotta backsplashes in the kitchens, plain white tiles in the bedroom areas, and plastic-encased stall showers in the bathrooms. Overall, rooms are large and clean, if basic. Recent remodels in some rooms include recessed lighting and natural stone walls. All rooms have hairdryers, fully equipped kitchenettes, and small flat-screen TVs, but no Wi-Fi. Past guests have complained that there's a fee for air-conditioning (waived for all-inclusive guests) and that it's only available in the sleeping quarters.
Features
Pool with adjacent children’s pool, free admission to nearby water park, small on-site supermarket
For many guests, particularly those with children, the hotel's biggest perk is that all guests get free access to the Tsilivi Waterpark, a five-minute walk from the property. The hotel has a large pool for adults and a smaller kids' pool, as well as a kids' club, a soccer field, and a small supermarket. Some guests have noted that the outdoor grounds can get slippery, as they are primarily covered with tile and concrete. All-inclusive and half-board meal and drink packages are available, but some guests have complained that the free drinks service ends at a set time in the evening.
