Half Dome Village is a community of cabins, tent cabins, and motel rooms along with some retail and dining establishments. The 48-acre property is located in the heart of Yosemite Valley right below Glacier Point and near Half Dome and Yosemite Village. The 499 accommodations are ideal for campers and visitors who want to experience the park and its attractions on a more rugged and communal level. Private bathrooms, heaters, electrical outlets, and phones are hard to come by, except in pricier units. Bigger motel rooms and cabins are outfitted with rustic decor, while the tent cabins are basically just for sleeping and getting dressed. There are no cooking facilities or campfire rings, but there’s a buffet-style cafeteria and spots to get pizza, coffee, and ice cream.

Located in Yosemite Valley, beneath Glacier Point and close to the Half Dome summit and Yosemite Village
In 1899 David and Jenny Curry established Camp Curry, wanting to give visitors of Yosemite National Park a reasonably priced lodging option. Its name was changed in the late 20th century and today the property not only includes cabins and tents, but also a gift and grocery shop, bar, ice rink, pool, and amphitheater. It’s located next to Glacier Point, a summit that offers stunning views of Yosemite National Park.
Yosemite National Park encompasses over 700,000 acres across east central California and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, it draws millions of visitors each year to its majestic cliffs, waterfalls, and canyons. It also offers a wide range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, skiing and climbing.
In 2012, certain rooms and cabins were forced to shut down pernamently due to falling boulders in the area.
