Bottom Line

Located right on Lake Delton, the Aloha Beach

space, lake views, and nice extras like free Wi-Fi and microwaves -- first floor rooms include balconies. In the summer, on-site activities include everything from canoeing to campfire pits; the indoor pool and free passes to Noah's Ark are big draws in the winter. Note that there isn't a restaurant or breakfast on-site. Overall, this is a solid option for budget
travelers looking to stay close to nature with plenty of water activities and restaurants available at their fingertips.

Scene

Hawaiian-style decor on the lake

Aloha Beach Resort & Suites get crowded with families, especially during the warmer months, though designated quiet hours are in effect at night. The main brick building is three-stories and decorated with a palm tree cut-out. Faux,
steel palm trees hold up the retro style hotel sign by the entrance. Inside, the decor feels overdone -- light
wood furnishings, exotic fish ornaments, palm plants, and tiki heads look kitschy and dated. A large rack of maps and brochures are displayed alongside one wall,
while the opposite wall offers coffee and seating on orange armchairs. The indoor swimming pool is
enclosed in a cabin-like room, with wooden wall panels and large floor-to-ceiling
windows. Pool floats take up a lot of space in the water, and only patio chairs line the
surrounding area. There’s a much nicer scene
outside, with Lake Delton just a few steps away. The small beach is a nice
plus, but it's mainly used as a volleyball play area. Chairs and tables are
available throughout the grounds and by the water.

Location

On the shore of Lake Delton, just a five-minute drive to water parks, and close to restaurants

The property is on the shore of Lake Delton,
located on a side street not too far from the main road of Wisconsin Dells
Parkway. There are no on-site dining options or kitchenettes available in Aloha
Beach Resort and Suites, so the number of dining options in the immediate
surrounding area is a nice convenience. Most places are at most a five-minute
drive away. Notable eateries include Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty, which serves
their well-known Camp Style Breakfast and fresh baked goods, Carvelli's Pizza
and Pasta House, which serves Italian fare and house-made pasta, and Moosejaw
Pizza & Dells Brewing Co., which has an arcade area with foosball and
billiards tables.Noah’s Ark, the largest water park in America, is
a five-minute drive away, while Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park is a little
less than a five-minute drive away -- both are located along Highway 12. For hiking and nature trails, Rocky Arbor State
Park is about three miles north and a five-minute drive, and offers short and easy
trails.

Rooms

Mix of Hawaiian and 1980’s decor with pastel color schemes, amenities include microwaves and mini-fridges

Rooms are spacious with
either queen- or king-size beds, but the decor is kitschy at best and dated at worst. Paintings of
tropical plants and toucans hang above beds covered with tropical coverlets. Dark brown, red, or green carpeting looks old, and guests have complained about odors and stains. Each room includes air-conditioning, a microwave, mini-fridge, free (spotty) Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen TV. The bathrooms are simple and functional
with shower/tub combos; they also have a tired
feel and show signs of wear and tear. Hairdryers aren't provided. The largest rooms have 80s style pink hot tubs and matching pink walls. Rooms do have pretty views of Lake Delton; book a room on the first floor for a private deck.

Features

Free passes to Noah’s Ark and boat and canoe rentals, arcade and playground for children, and indoor and outdoor pools

Features at Ahola Beach Resort focus on family-friendly activities in the water. Outside, a gazebo, fire-pits,
picnic tables, and grills are available for guests who want to have cookouts and
a bonfire. There's a small beach down by the lake,
though it's used mainly as a volleyball court rather than as a sunbathing
area. Children’s play areas include a playground with slides next to the
volleyball court, and an indoor game room with a billiards table and various arcade
games. There are two pool areas, indoor and outdoor.
The outdoor pool is seasonal and has both an adult and kids' pool, along with
a hot tub. The indoor pool area has just one pool, a hot tub, and sauna, and
offers fun flotation devices for children. For more fun in the water,
free passes to Noah's Ark are offered to every guest during their stay.Freebies include Wi-Fi, which
can be spotty, outdoor parking, and
coffee in the lobby. Coin-operated laundry machines are available.
