Bottom Line

Surrounded by ponderosa pine trees, the Best Western Plus Inn of
Williams is a three-pearl hotel with 80 rooms. On Route 66, right off the I-40, the hotel is within a five-minute drive of downtown Williams as well as hiking/biking trails and area attractions. Stylish rooms have padded leather headboards and updated carpet, and all have
mini-fridges and coffeemakers. Almost every room has exceptional
mountain or forest views. There's an on-site steakhouse and a bar, and the free hot
breakfast gets great reviews. The hotel also has a lovely
outdoor hot tub with spectacular views and is open year round, and there's a
fire pit area and a seasonal outdoor pool as well. However, there's no elevator and while pets are welcome, it costs extra to bring them along.

Scene

Quiet and comfortable hotel with Southwest design

The Best Western Plus Inn of Williams
entrance is secluded, thanks to the surrounding ponderosa pine forest, which contributes to the property's quiet atmosphere. The comfortable and open lobby has
beautiful mountain and forest views that can be seen through large windows, and there's a
wonderful fireplace adorned with Southwest art pieces. Potted plants provide
some greenery while leather chairs offer cozy seating. Purple patterned carpet
runs throughout the hotel’s common areas. The lobby also has live entertainment
Thursday through Saturday evenings. Western View Steak House, the on-site
restaurant, has pinkish-tan walls, recessed lighting, and tufted leather chairs, but little artwork, while the Kachina Lounge is covered in Kachina dolls and has small groups of leather armchairs, and purple walls. The on-site gift shop,
Coyote Moon, is stuffed with trinkets and Southwest items as well as snacks and
drinks. There is no elevator at this property.

Location

Off Route 66 and I-40, surrounded by ponderosa pine forest

The hotel is set back in a ponderosa pine forest on
Route 66 at the base of Bill Williams Mountain, right off Interstate 40. Hiking/biking trails at
Kaibab National Forest are a three-minute drive while downtown Williams is
five-minutes away. Attractions including Bearizona, Elephant Rocks Golf Course,
and the Grand Canyon Deer Farm are less than a 15-minute drive from the hotel
while Sedona and the Grand Canyon are each an hour away. Flagstaff Pulliam
Airport is 35 minutes from the property.

Rooms

Stylish and current rooms with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges

Large rooms have a typical Best Western design, with red patterned carpets and bed runners along with pale yellow walls.
Padded leather headboards make the spaces feel updated and the beds receive
excellent comfort reviews. Each room also has a pair of armchairs with a glass-topped
table. Coffeemakers sit on large countertops with mugs. A black accent mirror hangs on the wall. Mini-fridges are tucked away below the flat-screen
TVs. Free daily newspapers are available and almost all rooms have exceptional
forest or mountain views. Bathrooms include white countertops and tired brownish wallpaper, but offer tons of space and come with Bath & Body Works Stress Relief toiletries.

Features

Fantastic free breakfast, restaurant, and bar, plus seasonal pool, year-round hot tub, and fire pit

The on-site restaurant, bar, and free hot breakfast get great reviews from past guests. Ribs, fish, and steak are offered at
the Western View Steak House, and the Kachina
Lounge has cocktails, wine, and snacks. The free breakfast
includes eggs, a Belgian waffle station, pastries, coffee, and tea.  A
funky-shaped, year-round hot tub sits next to an outdoor pool that's open seasonally. The pool deck has a fire pit and has
lots of seating, as well as marvelous views of the forest and mountains. The hotel's fitness center has floor-to-ceiling windows in addition to cardio and weight machines, and there's a
business center with a printer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
