Ornate and luxurious, with a lot of history
The huge lobby is a bright and welcoming maze of chairs and sofas nestled around large fireplaces. It's decorated with indigenous plants and animal busts, as well as prints of nature scenes. The reception desk is directly across from the concierge, and entrances to several restaurants, ballrooms, and bars are nearby. The lobby's windows and large back porch look out onto magnificent mountain views. During the winter, it's bustling with groups of skiers while the summer months welcome active families.

Quiet and scenic, with beautiful views
Tucked into the mountains, the Omni Mount Washington is notable for its breathtaking views of local scenery. The hotel is removed enough to feel peaceful and secluded, but it's still convenient to local attractions. It's a short drive from ski resorts and other local golf courses (although it has a couple of its own) and is a longer drive to several nearby towns, including Whitefield, which is 20 minutes away.

There's a variety of room types and sizes at this historic hotel, each with its own unique look. The property has been around since the turn of the 20th century, and is now managed by the Omni Hotels and Resorts. Those familiar with the brand won’t be disappointed -- even standard rooms are charming and cozy (albeit small), and larger accommodations have fireplaces, seating areas, and separate bars and kitchenettes, as well as beautiful views. There are many sizes of luxurious suites for larger parties; the cottages and rooms in the lodge have a more casual, rustic feel.

The Mount Washington Resort is set up so that guests can dine, golf, and be pampered without having to leave the property.
