The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is the hotel's main competitor and has the added perk of an on-site golf course -- plus lower rates -- but it's not as stylish.

Upper Village is a quieter alternative to touristy, crowded Whistler Village, although a few restaurants and bars can be found along the stretch of Blackcomb Way that runs north to south through the area.
