Scene
Newly opened contemporary hotel with a hip, upscale vibe
Having opened in January of 2015, the Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint Hotel is an 18-floor high-rise in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City with a hip atmosphere and upscale feel. Mostly young clientele stay here drawn by the chic, modern decor. Golden globed lights dangle in over front desk. A contemporary wired art sculpture hangs from the ceiling over a reflecting pond set at the center of the lobby, and lounge chairs provide seating in alcoves. Greeters dressed in traditional Vietnamese garb stand by the entrance, which has stairs and a ramp near the dining terrace. Unlike any other hotel in the city, guests here can catch a movie on site at the CVG Liberty Citypoint that shows new releases in three modern theaters with a concession stand.
Location
In the heart of Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, walking distance to city attractions
Ho Chi Minh City has a population of over seven million, so it’s no surprise that this central location is busy and noisy. Situated at the intersection of Pasteur Street and Le Loi Boulevard in the city center's District 1, this hotel is within easy walking distance of the central business district and plenty of area attractions. Many sights are within a 10-minute walking radius, including Ben Thanh Market (seven minutes), the Opera House (six minutes), the Central Post Office (eight minutes), and the Saigon Notre Dame Basilica (eight minutes). Tan Son Nhat International Airport is a 20- to 25-minute drive away, and the famous Chu Chi tunnels are a 75-minute drive.
Rooms
Contemporary, sleek rooms and suites with city views and modern conveniences
Guest rooms are contemporary, fresh, and bright, with light-wood floors and large windows that overlook Ho Chi Minh City. A certain streamlined, Scandinavian look dominates the decor with long work surfaces in matte black and armchairs upholstered in crosshatched gray fabric. Jaunty stripes add a graphic punch of color in rugs, artwork, and throw pillows. Rooms have built-in desks and closets with safes, bathrobes, irons, and slippers. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, kettles, and minibars, plus a couple of bottles of free mineral water. Sleek bathrooms are stocked with hairdryers and have modern, glass walk-in showers with glass walls that look out onto rooms. (Shades can be pulled down for privacy.)
Deluxe Rooms -- located on the lower floors -- are the smallest option. Premier City View Rooms are a little larger and sit on higher floors. The one-bedroom Liberty Central Suites feature sleek leather furniture in living rooms, and access to the Executive Lounge. It’s all about the views in the top-floor Signature City View Rooms on the top floors, which have floor-to-ceiling windows in the bathrooms and come with Executive Lounge access. Executive Club Rooms also include lounge access.
