Liberty Central Saigon Center

The hotel's marble-floored lobby gives off a grand, airy vibe with polished granite floors, an oversized black-and-white photograph of a woman riding in a rickshaw, and a tall pedestal of fresh flowers. Simplicity is the first impression, which continues in the mostly neutral-tone rooms. The other communal spaces are more colorful, though; the Central Restaurant has brown patterned carpet, light-blue walls with orange tree motifs, and mustard-yellow accents, while the Bistro has black leather seating amid lots of magenta. Due to its central location, guests are primarily tourists, though a few business travelers also stay here.

Liberty Central Saigon Centre is located on a narrow and busy street, lined with restaurants and convenience shops. It's within a 10-minute walk of several popular Ho Chi Minh tourist attractions, including the Saigon River, Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Ben Thanh market. Business guests will likely appreciate the proximity to the business district, as well. The Tan Son Nhat International Airport is about a 30-minute drive away. Taxis can be hailed right outside the hotel.

The 140 rooms are contemporary and comfortable, outfitted in neutral tones that are pleasant, if a bit uninspired. The design consists of simple blond-wood furniture, either gray carpeting or light-wood flooring, white sheets topped with light-pink bed runners, and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of light. Some have more decorative tufted cream headboards, and all have a few small framed works of art. Bathrooms are sleek and simple as well, equipped with walk-in showers or showers and separate bathtubs, as well as wall-mounted hairdryers and basic toiletries. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minibars, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and safes. The Liberty Central Suite has a sitting area as well. Note that some past guests have complained of outside noise and noise from neighboring rooms. Some rooms have city views, while others look out at a wall.

The hotel offers a decent amount of features for leisure and business guests. A small rooftop pool is surrounded by a handful of loungers and has views of the city. Inside, overlooking the pool, is a tiny gym with a few cardio and strength-training machines, plus free weights. The on-site spa has a small steam room and sauna, a large lounge area, and offers massage services. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. 

Dining-wise, the Central Restaurant serves Asian and Western fare both buffet-style and a la carte. Bistro Cafe is a comfy lounge space with a menu of pub fare such as burgers, pizza, and sandwiches, as well as a full bar. They also host live music on certain nights. The Libra Dining Room is available for private events. For guests staying in Executive rooms, a cozy, modern lounge has refreshments throughout the day and a meeting room.
