Arthotel ANA Enzian

Enziana Hotel Vienna is a country-style hotel with exteriors that resemble a traditional brick house with bay windows. Aiming to reflect the country's values and traditions, the hotel presents a true Austrian experience with traditional decor and staff decked out in dirndl and lederhosen. The overall look is a bit touristy and kitschy, but charming nonetheless. Decor in the lobby (which doubles as a bar) includes a wooden reception desk, glass shelving, and ceiling trusses; along with red-and-white checkered cushions and curtains, white sheep skins on wooden furniture, flower pots with red flowers, and an antique wine press on display. The rustic feel carries through to the restaurant, with more wooden furniture, counters, and window frames. Red-and-white checkered tablecloths and strings of fake fruit and flowers are added for decoration. The atmosphere in this family-run hotel is friendly and welcoming, attracting a combination of both business and leisure travelers.

Enziana Hotel Vienna is in the Landstrasse neighborhood, outside of Vienna's city center but within walking distance of local attractions, restaurants, shops, and public transportation. It's an 18-minute walk to both Belvedere Palace and Wiener Konzerthaus. The Galleria -- a mall filled with shops -- is a 12-minute walk from the hotel. It's a 15-minute drive or 30 minutes on public transport to get into the center of Vienna. There are two tram stops (Rennweg and Kleistgasse) within a three-minute walk in either direction from the hotel. For access to areas outside of the tram route, the Rennweg Train and Bus Station are about a four-minute walk from the hotel. The Landstrasse Wien Mitte Subway Station is a five-minute tram ride away. Vienna International Airport is 20 minutes by car or a half-hour on public transport.

The 165 guest rooms at Enziana Hotel Vienna are much like the public spaces of the hotel: quaint and charming with a combination of traditional Austrian decor, modern amenities, and a few odd quirks. Traditional elements include wooden furniture, red-and-white checkered cushions, artificial flowers, artwork on the walls, and either wooden or carpeted flooring. Note that twin beds are pushed together to make a double bed. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, telephones, safes, desks, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms lack tea- and- coffee-making facilities as well as individually-controlled air-conditioning. Bathrooms include shower/tub combos or walk-in showers. Though some showers are covered by glass, others have incredibly ugly shower curtains. Bathroom amenities include bathrobes, slippers, magnifying mirrors, and Pure Herbs or Aqua Senses toiletries. Some rooms feature large bay windows while others have more modern windows, all overlooking either the street or inner courtyard. 

Traditional Austrian flavors are the highlight of the lobby bar and restaurant at Enziana Hotel Vienna. There's an extensive buffet breakfast laid out every morning, though it's not included in all room rates, it can be booked as part of a package. Enziana Stube offers an a la carte menu for other meals and tourists love that waitstaff wear traditional Austrian outfits. There's an on-site event, conference, and meeting space available, as well as small kids' playroom to keep little ones busy. The 24-hour reception doubles as a concierge service. Airport transfers as well as make-up and hair appointments can be arranged for an additional fee. Pets are welcome free of charge. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
