Scene

Clean, bright, quiet -- and surrounded by greenery

The Austria
Trend Hotel Park Royal Palace doesn’t scream out luxury, but nevertheless ticks
off everything expected in an upscale hotel: clean, bright, quiet rooms, a great
location surrounded by touristy hot-spots and the palace gardens, and amenities such as a small spa and gym. The hotel has an impressive facade covered with golden metal panels, and the gold template is picked up again in the lobby area, which has lush blue carpets and matching velvet sofas. Like other hotels in the Austria Trend Hotel brand, the Park Royal Palace pays close attention to little details, such as making sure breakfasts suit allergy
sufferers and giving guests a myriad choice of pillows for their beds. It’s popular with tourists, and business people are also attracted to the large selection of conference rooms.

Location

Opposite Schonbrunn Palace, near the metro station

Located directly next to the Technisches Museum (Technical Museum)
and opposite Schloss Schonbrunn, the Hotel Park Royal
Palace Vienna is the ideal base for sightseeing tours as well as business
appointments in the Austrian capital. The Auer-Welsbach Park and Schonbrunn Palace gardens are right by the hotel.
The Schonbrunn
Metro Station (line U4) is a 15-minute walk from the hotel and it's only a 10-minute stroll to Schloss Schonbrunn, with
its beautiful park, the Imperial Coach Collection, Vienna Zoo, and Butterfly
House. The Vienna Airport is a half-hour drive away.

Rooms

Comfortable rooms with simple but contemporary decor and modern bathrooms

The rooms at the Park Royal are a good size and decorated in a contemporary fashion, with lots of browns, golds, and silvers. Each room comes with a desk and seating area, along with roomy
closets and a safe big enough to store a laptop. Pillow menus are standard, a feature common throughout hotels in the Austria Trend chain. Executive Rooms have minibars and free access to a self-service executive lounge that's kept stocked with free snack foods and beverages. Bathrooms are small but ultra-modern, with Champagne-gold walls, single sinks with lots of counter space, and small walk-in showers.

Features

On-site bar and restaurant with gluten-free and veggie options, plus a gym, spa, and garden

Restaurant Regio and Bar Chino are popular with locals
as well as guests, and the menus tend towards classic Austrian fare. There's a fee for the breakfast buffet, which comes with a variety of clearly marked items, including gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian items. The fitness center has a variety of unusual machines, some made out of wood, along with more standard elliptical and exercise bikes. There's also a spa offering massages along with a steam room and sauna. Outside is a large patio/garden with wooden benches and a few low trees. Pets are welcome for a fee.
