Scene

Modern, cheerful and basic

This is not a romantic hideaway reminiscent of Shakespeare’s tragic love story. The hotel has an overall light, modern, and sophisticated atmosphere and offers a good base for exploring historic Verona. Even the pleasant courtyard has blown-up photos of the city's sights on the walls. The breakfast room, which has a small bar, is bright and cheerful, a nice spot to start the day with the free, well-stocked continental spread.

Location

Behind the arena, close to restaurants and attractions

The hotel is located right behind Piazza Bra and the Arena di Verona in one of the most beautiful areas of Verona. Via Giuseppe Mazzini, the city’s elegant shopping street, is parallel, and there are many restaurants nearby. Juliet’s balcony, also known as the Casa di Giulietta, is a five-minute walk, and the medieval Castelvecchio Bridge and Castelvecchio Museum are a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the Porta Nuova train station.

Rooms

Small, but stylishly modern

The 38 air-conditioned guest rooms are, like the rest of the hotel, bright and modern, with hardwood floors. While small, some are stylishly decorated. Some of the rooms have massive, artsy photographs of the city behind the headboards, as well as white furniture and linens, while others have chocolate-colored fabric and wooden wardrobes, desks, and nightstands. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and hairdryers; some have balconies. Bathrooms are tiny, but clean, and the small stall showers have modern fixtures.

Features

Free breakfast and small gym

The free, well-stocked continental breakfast is served in a bright, modern room that also has a bar. There's also a small fitness center. The hotel has a parking garage and offers valet service for an extra fee.
