The Vermont Inn is a historic, family-run property in tiny Mendon, located halfway between Killington Ski Resort and Rutland. It has classic New England decor throughout and an overall cozy feel, but common spaces could use refreshing. Rooms are homey if not luxurious, and vary in size and configuration. They all have small flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and clean bathrooms, and some have features such as four-poster beds, fireplaces, and jetted tubs. Near two wonderful ski resorts, as well as Rutland, the second largest city in Vermont

The Vermont Inn is in Mendon, a tiny rural village halfway between Killington/Pico ski resort and Rutland, the second largest city in Vermont. It's not exactly the area to come to for excitement, but that's usually the point. There are a few golf courses and hiking trails, but most excursions require driving to Rutland. It's not the type of place for someone who needs constant excitement, but it's perfect for anyone (especially couples) who want to hole up for a weekend. Okemo ski resort is just over a 40-minute drive from the hotel.- 1-hour-55-minute drive to Burlington International Airport
