Country charm and subdued elegance in a historical setting
A historic local landmark on Manchester Village’s main street, the main building of the Equinox Golf Resort & Spa is a white four-story building with large windows and green shutters. The other four buildings that make up the property follow the same historic style, each offering distinctive features like private porches, canopied beds, artworks and antiques, and open fireplaces. The atmosphere is a mix of country charm and subdued elegance. The reception area and interconnected rooms that are used as lounge spaces, as well as the impressive two-story-high Great Room, are dominated by pristine white-wood paneling on the walls and ceilings, and white French-style windows. There are many cozy sitting areas and lounges tucked away, including a pleasant library with comfy sofas arranged around a fireplace. The resort is a popular venue for weddings and special events, as well as business meetings and conferences. The property attracts a diverse clientele and is especially popular with couples and families.

The resort's 195 rooms range from compact Standard Rooms to spacious suites to three-bedroom houses.Some Standard Rooms, at 170 square feet, can be small, and their bathrooms, with marble top sinks, tub/shower combos, are snug. Deluxe and Superior Rooms are roomier, and have scenic views of Equinox Mountain, the resort grounds, or the surrounding village.The Premiere Suites located in the charming 19th century Charles Orvis Inn, a separate building, are much more spacious and include a living and dining room, fully equipped kitchens, and cozy fireplaces. But the floors of this old building can be quite creaky and sound insulation is an issue here. 1811 House, which was once the home of Abraham Lincoln’s granddaughter, has 13 guest rooms which give the impression of being in an old country home, with open fireplaces and private porches. Another option is the resort's 30 town houses. The Dormy House is a self-contained three-bedroom house with a private patio decorated in a rustic country house style.All the rooms and suites have amenities like air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and luxury toiletries in the bathrooms.
