The main attraction here is the beach across the road from the hotel. While there isn't much else within walking distance, there are several restaurants within a 10-minute drive, including the Crow's Nest Marina Restaurant, Cafe Venice on the Island, the Saltwater Cafe, and Sharky's on the Pier, as well as some shops. Other attractions require a 30-minute drive, and Sarasota is about 40 minutes away.

There are Deluxe Rooms, Beachview Suites, and One- and Two-Bedroom Suites, which have ocean views, garden views, or no views at all. Each brightly lit room has a beach theme, as seen in the palm-tree-printed throw blankets, pillows, and chairs, the framed palm tree prints on the walls, and shutter windows. The bedrooms are carpeted and have flat-screen TVs, and all of the bathrooms come with either a shower or a shower/tub combo. The suites include separate tiled sitting areas with pineapple printed couches, kitchenettes complete with toasters, microwaves, coffeemakers, stove-tops, and full-size refrigerators. Other rooms have mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers. All the rooms have free Wi-Fi.
