Altomincio Family Park

The Altomincio Family Park offers fully equipped mobile homes for two to eight people and kid-friendly facilities. The park is spacious and neatly landscaped, though some mobile homes are close together and a bit of a hike to the pool and restaurant. The fabric ceiling in the reception area resembles a circus tent, and there are toys and chalkboards for kids to play with while their parents check in. Many of the facilities are partially open air and you won't walk too far without encountering a jungle gym. Sports Bar Terraza caters to kids but has modern details like light hardwood floors, wicker sofas, and attractive globe lighting fixtures that parents will appreciate. Families are really the only emphasis here, couples without children and business travelers should look elsewhere.

The Altomincio Family Park is located near Lago de Garda, though a car is required to get there. The park does a nice job of providing families everything they need (though at a higher cost) on the property, including a grocery store, ice cream parlor, and restaurant options. There's a cheaper grocery store and wine shop near the park entrance, but not within walking distance. Expect lots of open space and a serene, rural setting. The area isn't well situated to those looking for entertainment outside of the park. Many families bring supplies with them on arrival.

There are three types of mobile homes available at Altomincio Family Park, though the only major difference is the size and how many people can sleep there, varying from two to six. The decor is modern with light hardwood floors, clean lines, and white walls. There's ample light from large windows. Each unit has a front porch and fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishes. Bunk beds get varying reviews of comfort. The outdoor spaces are a nice perk with private front porches, some complete with grills and dining tables. Some mobile homes are further from the public spaces than others.

Most of the facilities at Altomincio Family Park are at least partially outdoors, making the weather a deciding factor in the day's events. The on-site grocery store is pricey and availability of items can vary. The three outdoor swimming pools are kid-friendly with slides, rubber padding, and lifeguards. A sports bar, pizza restaurant, and gelateria offer kids' menus and miniature furniture. The park organizes daily activities and events for families. A car is required for access to anything outside of the park, though the parking lot is a bit far from the mobile homes.
