Though there’s an extra charge for breakfast, the hotel does offer free amenities like Wi-Fi, fitness center access, and bottles of mineral water. There's also an on-site restaurant serving Mediterranean food and a popular lounge bar with a weekly DJ. Panoramic views of Valencia are available from the eighth floor as well. Scene
Mid-sized hotel with airy lobby and cozy bar
The Arye is built on an eye-catching public square with an elaborate water fountain decorated with figures and animal sculptures. Inside, the bright and airy entrance has expansive windows and steps leading up to the lobby, where the all-white decor is minimal, with mod seating. Corridors further in the interior look dated, with chipped wooden walls and blue carpet. The Room Service Lounge Bar on an upper floor is an attractive place to hang out, featuring a sky-lit ceiling and interesting art. Crushed velvet purple sofas and bookshelves give the space a living room vibe. Panoramic views of Valencia are worth the trip upstairs.
Location
In the center of Valencia and close to shopping destinations, an iconic plaza, and the beach
The Ayre is at the junction between the business area and old town of Valencia, built directly on a beautiful public square. The hotel's on a smaller street but close to major avenues filled with high-end shops (Louis Vuitton and Tommy Hilfiger) and a wide variety of restaurants and bars with indoor and outdoor seating. The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is so close you can hear its chiming bells. Malvarrosa Beach is about a 20-minute drive away.
Rooms
172 spacious rooms and suites, with some complaints about water pressure and noise on higher floors
The hotel offers its guests a total of 172 rooms and suites, though certain spaces have more updated features than others. Each room has hardwood floors and large windows overlooking city streets. Mini-fridges have bottles of free water. Seating areas are found in suites, with some of the rooms sporting blue checked bedding and matching heavy drapes. Beware of [ twin beds pushed together] and passed off as queen-sized.Some bathrooms have double sinks and full bathtubs. Water pressure gets mixed reviews on higher floors, and guests have complained about late-night noise in eighth floor rooms due to parties upstairs.
Features
A fee for breakfast, though Wi-Fi is free; a weekly DJ spins at the bar
Features at the Ayre include a small but sufficient fitness center with a few cardio machines and a stability ball; the space is naturally lit and well-maintained. Wi-Fi is free, though it gets mixed reviews and there's a charge for high-speed access. AB Vinatea serves Mediterranean style meals a la carte, with dining packages available as well, and the top floor Lounge Bar draws locals and guests alike with a weekly DJ.
