Scene

Warm and welcoming, with a cozy lobby

The Best Western Plus Abbey Inn has pretty grounds that include a stream and a quaint footbridge, and there's a plush feel to the common spaces. Although there is no bar or restaurant for socializing or winding down, the handsome lobby is furnished with comfy couches and armchairs in rich, warm colors, clustered around a cozy fireplace. Free coffee and tea are available in the lobby at all times. The breakfast room is similarly welcoming, with a stone fireplace, red leather chairs, and an adjacent outdoor terrace furnished with heavy wrought-iron furniture. With a year-round pool, hot tub, and well-equipped fitness center, The Abbey Inn is much more than a way station on the highway.

The Best Western Plus Abbey Inn is conveniently located for both tourists and business travelers. In St. George's business district, it's easy to reach off I-15, and is in a great spot for exploring the area sights, including Zion National Park, which is a 45-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel is in a safe, well-lit area, surrounded by other hotels, restaurants, shops, and a movie theater, most of which are within walking distance. The Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum, the St. George Utah Mormon Temple, and the Fiesta Family Fun Center are all within a four-minute drive of the hotel. Dixie State College is a six-minute drive, and St. George Municipal Airport is a 16-minute drive.

Plush, warm, and spacious, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms

The 154 rooms at the Best Western Plus Abbey Inn are spacious and clean, and exude a comfortable, warm vibe. The decor is rich, with dark-wood furniture, heavy drapes across large windows, thick red carpeting, and buttery walls. Each room has a small kitchen area with cabinets, a wall-mounted microwave, mini-fridge, wet bar, and a coffeemaker. Desks are large, with plenty of room to work, and rooms have stylishly framed full-length mirrors. Beds are either kings or queens, with pillowtop mattresses. Bathrooms are spacious and up-to-date, with shower/tub combinations and plenty of counter space. Executive King Suites have gas fireplaces,  separate sitting rooms with a couches and work areas, and a double hot tub in the bathrooms. Amenities include 42-inch flat-screen TVs with cable channels and pay movies, and free toiletries. Third-floor rooms are quieter, and some guests prefer back-facing rooms, which offer lovely sunrise views; some of these also overlook the nearby Mormon Temple, which is beautifully lit at night.
