D- Resort Gocek is a sleek, four-pearl boutique hotel overlooking the sea in the southern part of Gocek. Rooms and suites here have airy, bright decor and luxurious marble bathrooms, and some have balconies with padded lounge chairs. Amenities include a lovely spa with a Turkish bath, a fitness center with high-end equipment, and an outdoor pool, not to mention a lovely white-sand beach with calm water for swimming. The resort also features multiple bars and restaurants serving Turkish and international cuisine, some with views out over the sea. Note that there have been multiple complaints of noise here, sometimes from children, and travelers without kids may want to consider the adult-only Rixos Premium Gocek instead.
Scene
Chic boutique hotel with lovely grounds and sleek lobby; some complaints of noise
This chic, modern hotel is housed in a series of lovely pale-gray two-story modern structures set against a semi-arid mountainous backdrop with lots of tropical plants and patches of grass throughout. Steps lead down to a lovely powdery white beach, complete with padded lounge chairs and parasols plus a few tables and chairs. The waters here are generally calm and ideal for swimming. Inside, the lobby is dominated by muted whites and gray marble, with pops of color in the form of blue, vaguely nautical glass lamps. The hotel attracts couples and families from around the world. Note that there have been multiple complaints of noise from other guests (primarily due to weddings and loud kids), and the hotel can feel crowded during peak occupancy.
Location
Quiet, beachfront location overlooking the Aegean in the south of Gocek
The resort is located in the southern part of Gocek, just south of the town marina and right on Blue Point Beach. It's about a 10- to 15-minute walk into town, where there are tons of restaurants and shops plus a decently sized supermarket. The port city of Fethiye, known for its ruins, takes a half-hour to reach by car, as does Dalaman Airport (in the opposite direction).
Rooms
Bright, airy rooms and suites with blue-and-white color scheme and swish marble bathrooms
This hotel offers a variety of bright, light-filled rooms and suites, all with a similarly nautical decor scheme featuring blue-and-white linens and white painted wooden chairs and desks. While all rooms are a comfortable size, starting at around 27 square meters (290 square feet), suites are larger, with separate living areas and bedrooms plus balconies or terraces with lounge chairs and views out over the pool or the sea. Amenities include wall-mounted flat-screen TVs with international channels, coffee- and tea-making facilities, safes, air-conditioning, and minibars. Wi-Fi is fast and free throughout the resort. Bathrooms are sleek, with marble walls and countertops and walk-in rainfall showers. Robes, slippers, hairdryers, and Molton Brown toiletries are provided.
Features
Lovely spa with Turkish bath, modern fitness center, outdoor pool, direct beach access, and multiple restaurants
One of this hotel's most attractive feature is its spa, complete with four treatment rooms for massages and skin care, plus a traditional Turkish bath. There's also a modern fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment, plus a lovely outdoor swimming pool flanked with lounge chairs for those who don't want to head down to the connected Blue Point Beach, where more lounge chairs are located. Dining options here are pretty good, too, and include Olive Tree, open for all three meals (with breakfast served buffet style) as well as The Breeze Restaurant, which overlooks the Aegean and serves lunch and dinner a la carte. There's also a steakhouse that's only open for dinner as well as a couple of bars: one poolside, one attached to Breeze, and the beachfront Q Lounge, which also serves dinner. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The front desk can arrange tours, transfers, and dry cleaning.
