A two-level play area is staffed by nannies and there are separate bar areas for adults, along with supervised activities for children as well as adults-only dinners. Scene
Picturesque setting with classic and colorful decor that appeals to adults and kids
This large, ski chalet-like property is set amongst the Rosengarten Massif, which can be seen from various points throughout the property. Much of the hotel has an old-fashioned, classic look, with lots of wood, molded ceilings, chandeliers, and traditional floral carpeting. The restaurant is filled with murals of mountain scenes, bright floral banquettes, and quaint decor that includes a large carved gnome. One area is decorated to look like the outside of a house, with windows and wood shutters along with citrus trees. The children’s play area is bright and colorful, while the wellness center plays on the location with a small faux-mountain wall.
Location
In a quiet mountain location in central Vigo di Fassa
The hotel is in the center of Vigo di Fassa, accessible via a small private road and surrounded by several other hotels, with mountain views in the distance. Restaurants are within a quick drive and the cable car to the Ciampedie ski area is a short walk from the hotel. The area is closest to the Dolomiti Airport in Bolzano, which is an hour away, while Venice’s Marco Polo Airport is a two-and-a-half-hour drive from the town.
Rooms
Standard, wood-filled rooms and creative forest-themed suites
The hotel’s 29 rooms include classic Standard Rooms as well as suites with red carpeting and light-colored, unfinished wood furniture. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, safes, and minibars, and there are beautiful views of the property from many rooms. Although all the rooms are charming, the Owl and Squirrel Suites really stand out. These are decorated as magical forests, with children’s sleeping areas designed to look like tree houses and colorful murals of woodland creatures on the walls. The Owl Suite also includes a wood-paneled room for adults with a hot tub. Spacious bathrooms have stall showers.
