Bottom Line

The upscale Voyage Torba has a beachfront location in Torba, a coastal town in Turkey that offers little to see or do beyond enjoy the sun and beach. The hotel caters to families, but unlike other all-inclusive resorts in the area, the common areas are more contemporary than worn out, which is refreshing for parents. Similarly, the 495 rooms are modern with good amenities like minibars and kettles. However, that’s not to say the environment is posh throughout. It’s loud and busy with lots of visitors, making it hard to get a lounger at the beach or six pools or to make a reservation at one of the eight a la carte restaurants (which receives varying reports on food quality). Couples might want to compare rates at the Sarpedor Boutique Hotel & SPA which has a more intimate atmosphere and facilities that cater to adults.

Scene

Large all-inclusive resort with a sophisticated design and a clientele of families

Offering direct beach access and a fantastic set of family-friendly amenities, Voyage Torba is a great pick for those who want sun, beach, and an all-inclusive vacation to enjoy with their loved ones. Renovated in 2012, the hotel has an elegant and luxurious design which isn’t often seen in all-inclusive resorts that cater to families. For instance, the lobby is adorned with glossy floors covered in contemporary white and gray seating and lit by a lavish chandelier. The outdoor spaces are especially lovely and filled with greenery and flora that wrap around the small white buildings filled with rooms. Modern sculptures throughout the property are just another aspect of the sophisticated design. The entertainment team keeps the atmosphere upbeat, which is easy to do as the resort is generally busy with lots of kids running a few steps ahead of their parents. While couples stay here, it’s not the type of place for a lot of peace, quiet, or romance.

Location

Sits on the beach in Torba and a 14-minute drive from Bodrum

The hotel has an ideal location for those looking to relax in the sun, as it sits on the beach in Torba. Surrounded by hotels and restaurants (and with a large number of rooms), it’s no wonder that this is a popular and crowded area. As Torba is a resort beach town, there’s not much to do besides walk to shops or dining options within about a 10-minute walk. For those with a car, the seaside city of Bodrum has a bit more to do and see and is only a 14-minute drive away. Outdoorsy tourists can reach the Yuksel Caglar Memorial Forest by car in eight minutes. It’s a 30-minute drive to the Milas-Bodrum Airport.

Rooms

Modern rooms with a gray-toned color scheme, minibars, and kettles

The hotel has 495 rooms with fresh and modern decor. The rooms are completely done in neutral color tones of gray and white which match well with sleek black and white furniture and long reflective mirrors above the beds. The balconies and patios allow for guests to enjoy early mornings and late nights, while air-conditioning in the rooms keeps things cool during the day. All rooms feature a wide array of amenities including flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, kettles, and safes. Deluxe and Sea Side rooms have access to a private pool, and a few of these rooms have swim up access. Bathrooms are clean and compact with large vessel sinks and round silver mirrors. They come equipped with cabin-style showers, hairdryers, and Roberto Cavalli toiletries.

Features

Outdoor features that focus on the warm weather like pools, nightly entertainment, and outdoor dining at many of the 11 restaurants

Voyage Torba offers a wealth of leisure facilities. The beachfront location is the most popular aspect as it has a beach for families and babies (which includes a play area with toys) and another area for adults aged 16 years and older. It’s packed full with loungers, umbrellas, and day beds on the pier that leads out into the water. Loungers are generally hard to come by in high season both by the beach and by the six outdoor swimming pools. The pools come in a variety of sizes and some are children’s pools with waterslides, though there are adult-sized waterslides, too. The spa provides relaxation with beauty treatments and massages, a sauna, and steam baths. There’s a gym with cardio and weight equipment. Fitness classes during the day help guests stay fit.

As an all-inclusive resort, the hotel has plenty of dining options with 11 restaurants that include international buffets and a la carte restaurants that serve everything from Mexican to Asian cuisine. Take note that a la carte restaurants require reservations, which are sometimes hard to come by. There are also 10 bars on-site. Note that past guests have complained about food quality.

Families and kids are a top priority with amenities like a mini-club, multiple play areas, and babysitting services. Evening entertainment is appropriate for families. Parking and Wi-Fi are both free.
