Upscale hotel in the Nihonbashi District, popular with business travelers

The grand hotel is accessed via a spacious entrance hall that has glass sliding doors and is served by hotel porters who offer a pleasant welcome. Inside, the lobby has polished marble floors, a large reception desk, and double escalators that lead down to access the basement shopping arcade and the  Hanzomon metro line. A dramatic chandelier installation covers the ceiling in twinkling light. This large communal space has a handy foreign currency exchange machine and plenty of seating beside the check-in area. The hotel is popular with both international couples on vacation and business travelers, both groups looking for upscale rooms near the city's major sights.

Rooms

Classic decor, flat-screen TVs, and minibars

Rooms at the Royal Park are split into Standard and Executive floors. Rooms on the Standard floor are relatively spacious, at 26 square meters (280 square feet) for a Double Room, with a larger double bed or twin beds and a small seating area. Rooms have tiled wooden feature walls that are slightly dated, dark wooden furniture, and large windows that brighten the space. Beside the bed there’s a built-in alarm clock and radio. All rooms have work desks with leather executive office chairs. Near the window, there’s a separate armchair with an ottoman and a glass coffee table. In-room facilities include an LCD television, refrigerated minibar, electronic safe, and a kettle. Wardrobe space, sleepwear, and a clothes brush are found in every room. En-suite bathrooms have white fittings and gray floor tiles. A clear glass door separates the wet room area with a separate plunge bath and modern shower. Trays of essential toiletries (including toothbrushes), hairdryers, and slippers are a welcome addition. Executive Rooms have access to a lounge with free drinks, buffet breakfast, and a late checkout service. Deluxe Executive rooms upgrade to Bose Wave music systems, a coffeemaker, and L’Occitane bathroom products.

Features

Six restaurants, a full-sized indoor swimming pool, and a fitness center

The Royal Park has a full range of features. With six restaurants, there are plenty of dining options, including a variety of Japanese and Chinese cuisine. A teppanyaki restaurant with rooftop city views serves a lunch and dinner menu of seafood and Wagyu beef. On the fifth floor a peaceful fish restaurant overlooks the Japanese garden, provided a relaxing setting for daytime and evening meals. The large Chinese restaurant and a small sushi restaurant offer guests further choice. The coffee shop (on the first floor) serves meals throughout the day, including an American-style buffet breakfast for a fee. There’s also a delicatessen, and two bars on the first and basement floors. Banquet facilities and private dining rooms are available for weddings and functions.
