Samui Jasmine is an intimate beachfront resort featuring manicured tropical gardens, an artsy Thai aesthetic, and quiet common areas. Although the hotel is located right in the heart of downtown, it feels far removed from the buzz of the city streets and stays consistently tranquil. The lobby space has comfy couches for guests to relax on while waiting to check in, and includes a full-service tour desk that offers adventure bookings and vehicle rentals. The hotel’s peaceful ambience, scenic beachfront setting, and large outdoor swimming pool are some of the main reasons that make it such a popular choice with families and couples. The beach and swimming pool are both lined with plenty of lounge chairs, and there is a also a large sun deck along the beach with additional seating and a small bar that serves drinks and light meals. Also beachfront is the breezy semi open-air restaurant with unobstructed ocean views and alfresco dining. Common spaces rarely get overcrowded, as the property has only a limited number of rooms and plenty of space to spread out.

Chaweng, the island's main tourism and party hub, is located around a 30-minute drive away. It features tons of nightclubs, beach clubs, cabaret shows, and local bars. Also, Phench Buncha Thai Boxing Stadium and Central Festival Samui shopping mall are both located in Chaweng. Lomprayah catamaran speedboats leave for Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Surat Thani (mainland) from the Maenam Pier, located a 45-minute drive from the hotel. The Samui International Airport is also around a 45-minute drive.

Artsy touches like the brightly colored woven textiles and hammered bronze decorations on display add some warmth and local flare. Rooms are outfitted with wooden platform beds and comfy mattresses, work desks and chairs, and wardrobes. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, safes, free Wi-Fi, refrigerated minibars, coffee- and tea-making facilities, plus free bottled water.Villas don’t include plunge pools or privacy boundary walls, but they do have some attractive appointments, especially the two-bedroom Junior Villa, which features an indoor whirlpool and a plush lounge area with comfy couch seating.
