Bottom Line

In Touch Resort & Restaurant is a stylish budget hotel with a range of 26 modern suites and rustic bungalows. The hotel is set along the scenic white sands of Sairee Beach, and there are tons of nightlife spots, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. Rooms are clean and most are equipped with air-conditioning and mini-fridges. The hotel offers little in the way of facilities, featuring only a simple beachfront restaurant serving Thai and Western favorites. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are available for rent, plus the hotel's affiliated dive center, Koh Tao Divers, is conveniently located next door. The hotel doesn't offer a swimming pool or spa. For more features, consider the Seashell Resort Koh Tao, which is also on Sairee Beach and has two swimming pools, a dive center, and a full-service spa.

Scene

A simple budget boutique hotel set along a scenic white-sand beach near Koh Tao's buzzing downtown hub

Although In Touch Resort is just a short walk from popular nightlife hotspots, the property feels quiet and removed from the downtown roar. The small budget hotel has little on offer except for the gorgeous beach and a simple dining venue. The restaurant is semi open-air and includes a large outdoor deck with low cushion seating, plus picnic tables set along the sand. Sairee Beach is the island's longest white-sand beach and is one of the best spots for sunsets, but being Koh Tao's main attraction it does get busy. However, the hotel manages to avoid some of the crowding due to its removed location at the far end of the beach.

Location

On Sairee Beach, within walking distance of nightlife, restaurants, and shops

In Touch Resort is located on the quiet southern end of Sairee Beach, Koh Tao's vibrant downtown hub. Set along a cobblestone promenade lined with popular nightlife spots, beachfront restaurants, and shopping, all easily accessible on foot. One of the islands most important landmarks, The King Rama V Rock monument is located adjacent to the hotel, and it's a two-minute walk to the Monsoon Gym and Fighting Club  for Thai kickboxing. Koh Tao’s main port, Mae Haad Pier, is a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive away and it offers a selection of restaurants, local bars, and shops worth checking out. The idyllic Nang Yuan Island is a 30-minute boat ride away and features pristine white-sand beaches, great snorkeling, and a scenic view point. Long tail boat transfers to the island can be arranged through the hotel directly or at one of the many tour kiosks dotted along Sairee Beach and Mae haad Pier.

Rooms

Clean and stylish suites with bright interiors, and rustic standalone bungalows

In Touch Resort offers a variety of room types to suit a wide range of travelers. Studios have clean contemporary interiors, polished concrete accents, hardwood stylings and furnishings, plus large windows that let in plenty of natural light and airflow. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, safes, empty mini-fridges, and bottled water. All units offer balcony seating areas, and those along the higher floors feature sea views. Bungalows have a more rustic look, with whitewashed interiors and eclectic colorful stylings. They're outfitted with low platform beds, comfy seating, vanity dressing tables, and small wardrobes. Standard Bungalows aren't equipped with air-conditioning, mini-fridges, or TVs, but do have fans. Bathrooms offer hot water showers and lots of counter space.

Features

Beach access, multi-cuisine restaurant, affiliated dive center next door, plus kayaks and snorkels to borrow

In Touch Resort is a small value hotel which has little on offer in the way of facilities and doesn't include a swimming pool or spa. The beachfront setting and central location are the hotel’s biggest assets. A simple restaurant is housed beachfront and serves a range of Thai and Western favorites, plus a la carte breakfast (for a fee). The spacious white-sand beach is great for swimming, water sports, long walks, or just relaxing, but unfortunately the hotel doesn't provide lounge chairs. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and snorkeling gear are available to rent and guests wanting to dive can book directly through the hotel's affiliated dive center, Koh Tao Divers, located next door. Wi-Fi and on-site parking are free.
