The reception area is a little unattractive, with large, colorful tour posters on the walls and a rack of brochures, but no seating areas, aside from a couple of wooden benches on the front porch. The open-air restaurant has wooden tables and chairs in a covered area surrounded by tropical greenery, making it a better spot to gather. The pool is pretty, framed against the backdrop of a gorgeous towering cliff. Most guests are leisure travelers, primarily couples, looking for something beyond a bare-bones place to stay.

Though it's not on the beach, the hotel offers a shuttle to the main shopping drag and to Ao Nang Beach, a five-minute drive away. It's a 25-minute drive to Krabi Town and a half-hour drive to the Tiger Cave Temple. Railay Beach, popular with rock climbers, can be reached in about 25 minutes via car and long-tail boat. It's a half-hour drive to the Krabi Airport and just over two hours to Phuket International Airport.
