The two-and-a-half-pearl Vistasur Apartments is tucked inside of the Vistasur Shopping Center complex and a two-minute walk from the beach. The location is convenient, with plenty of shops and dining options nearby -- especially beneficial as there is no restaurant and just a poolside bar. While the complex and lobby have a contemporary aesthetic, the rest of the hotel is quite dated and the pool deck is well-worn. Its 59 apartment-style rooms look straight out of the '70s, though they do come with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, well-equipped kitchenettes, and furnished balconies; only the sea-view rooms promise air-conditioning, however. It's worth comparing rates with the Kn Columbus Aparthotel, which has a ton more features and some modern rooms, but it's set farther from the beach.

Apartment-style property with mostly dated spaces
The Vistasur shopping complex that the hotel is located in is attractive, and has a quintessential Spanish/Mediterranean vibe with its terra-cotta pavers and red-tiled roofing throughout. Due to this exterior, guests might anticipate that the hotel will have a similar aesthetic inside. Unfortunately, Vistasur Apartments has a range of decor from neutral and contemporary todated furnishings reminiscent of the '70s. While the muted lobby is mostly contemporary, the apartments are outfitted in a brown-and-orange color scheme and in need of a refresh. Similarly in need of some maintenance is the well-worn deck around the small, ocean-view pool. There's little to do on-site, but the self-catering facilities make this appropriate for both families and couples.
Location
In a complex with shops and restaurants, a quick walk to the beach
Vistasur Apartments location inside of the Vistasur Shopping Center complex is a big pro for many guests, as this means restaurants and shops are just outside the hotel doors. Outside of the complex, there are plenty more within walking distance. Even more alluring, though, is the hotel's setting just a two-minute walk from the beach, where travelers can rent loungers and umbrellas. Tenerife South Airport is a 16-minute drive away.
Rooms
Rooms are outdated but spacious
The 59 apartment-style rooms are certainly dated with their brown-and-orange color scheme reminiscent of the '70s, but they're spacious and well-maintained. The design consists of terra-cotta tiling, wooden furniture, striped upholstery, and island-inspired artwork. Bedrooms add pleasant purple and blue accents to the mix of colors with striped bedspreads and floral-print drapes. While in need of a modern refresh, they're well-equipped with kitchenettes that have mini-fridges, electric burners, and coffee and tea-making facilities. All room have furnished balconies or terraces, but only those facing the sea come with air-conditioning. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, safes, and flat-screen TVs. White-and-beige-tiled bathrooms have shower/tub combos, bidets, hairdryers, and a small amount of free bath products.

Unlike many hotels in the area, Vistasur Apartments offers free Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel. What's more, previous guests have also noted that the connection is reliable. Despite being a family-friendly establishment, there's an obvious lack of kid-centric features. The small ocean-view pool does have a tiny sectioned off swimming area for kids, though, and the number of available sunbeds doesn't seem to be an issue. Dining options on-site are limited to the pool bar's snacks and drinks. There's no gym.
