Apartamentos Reveron offers a cozy and homey place to stay, and it’s only an eight-minute walk from the beach. Restaurants, bars, and grocery shops are easily accessible on surrounding streets, which is convenient since the 55 apartment-like units have kitchenettes, as well as flat-screen TVs and some balconies. However, they lack air-conditioning. A pool, gym, and free Wi-Fi attracts visitors, though no dining option or on-site parking is a bit of a drawback. With a new refurbishment and ownership scheduled for August 2017, it’ll be interesting to see what’s added and updated at this budget property. For those who enjoy apartment-style hotels, Castle Harbour Apartments is a good alternative for a poolside snack bar, tennis court, and on-site parking.
Scene
Apartment-style hotel with few public spaces and dated decor
Apartamentos Reveron is a small, all-apartment hotel that opened in 2009 and attracts a mostly couples’ clientele. It has pretty details like a rooftop pool and charming solarium. There aren't many public spaces for guests to interact, except for a lovely courtyard with a small water fountain and tables and chairs. However, the property shows its age in many spaces like in the lobby with frumpy dated couches of differing colors and nicks and scratches on furniture. Thankfully, the hotel will be undergoing a large refurbishment project in August 2017 after it is taken over by new owners. Though the clientele is generally well-behaved, the next-door pubs can interrupt the quiet atmosphere in the early hours.
Location
Eight-minute walk to the beach and surrounded by restaurants and bars
For those looking for a budget stay in Tenerife, but within walking distance to the beach, Apartamentos Reveron is a good option. It takes eight minutes on foot to reach the beach and there are ample restaurants, bars, and grocery stores on surrounding streets. For those with a car, the Siam Park, a Thai-themed water park, takes 10 minutes to reach. Monumento Natural de la Montaña de Guaza is a four-minute drive away, or a 24-minute walk to the base, for those who want to hike to the top. It’s a 15-minute drive to Tenerife South Airport.
Rooms
Apartment-like units with kitchenettes and flat-screen TVs, but no air-conditioning
The Studio, One-Bedroom, and Two-Bedroom Apartments here offer a real feeling of home away from home. Yes, the decor is dated and the wooden furniture and bedding is a bit tired, but the apartments will undergo a renovation in August 2017. As of now, there’s tiled white floor, homey yellow bedding and curtains, blond wooden furniture, and kitchenettes that look updated compared to the rooms. Rooms lack air-conditioning, but have flat-screen TVs, safes, and free Wi-Fi. The kitchenettes come with sinks, two-burner stoves, coffeemakers, microwaves, platter ware, cooking utensils, pots, and silverware. Some rooms have furnished balconies. TV remotes require a deposit to use. Bathrooms are clean and equipped with shower/tub combos, toiletries, and hairdryers. Note that many guests report hearing bothersome noise from nearby bars into the early hours.
Features
Rooftop pool, solarium, gym, free Wi-Fi, public computer, and a meeting room
Apartamentos Reveron isn’t the right place for those who want dining options on-site. There’s no restaurant, bar, or breakfast provided, though most don’t seem to mind as the hotel is near restaurants and has kitchenettes in the units. The hotel does provide a lovely rooftop pool with city views and loungers -- however, the loungers are generally scooped up pretty fast. There is a solarium with loungers as well. The hotel’s gym is modest with dated cardio equipment, free weights, and weight equipment. It also lacks air-conditioning. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and there’s a public computer in the lobby that can be used for a fee. A single meeting room with a flat-screen TV is available. Parking is not provided on-site.
