Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel

This large resort is housed in two separate buildings set in pleasant landscaped gardens dotted with palm trees, cacti, and local volcanic black rocks. The main section is a boxy blue-and-gray structure with orange balcony partitions that give it an old-fashioned feel. Open hallways overlook an interior central atrium with tall palm trees, fake rock arrangements, and a small man-made waterfall. Rooms in the annex are housed in a series of white buildings with terra-cotta tile roofs and arched windows that give the property some local charm. The Paradise Park renovated some common spaces and all rooms in the main building in 2015, and although some of the dated features are gone, interiors are still a tad generic throughout, with simple streamlined furniture and a neutral palette. 

This is a large all-inclusive popular with both couples and families, and the atmosphere here is buzzing year-round. But the expansive grounds and many pools -- including two in a separate section across the street -- help spread out the crowds. There is even an adult-only plunge pool on a deck for those who need a quiet retreat. 

The hotel is located on a wide street lined with hotels and vacation homes. There is a small shopping mall a few doors down, and several other shops, bars, and restaurants can be found within a few blocks. Central Los Cristianos, which offers a wider variety of dining, shopping, and drinking options, is a 10-minute downhill walk from Paradise Park. The hotel provides free shuttle service several times a day to/from the city center, and has a handful of free parking spots on-site. The nearest beach is a 20-minute walk away, and there are a couple of other nice stretches of sand within a 15-minute drive of the hotel. Aqualand Costa Adeje and Siam Park are both a 10-minute drive away, and it is less than 15 minutes to the airport. 

The 378 rooms are split between the more contemporary main building and the older annex section. The main building rooms were renovated in 2015 and have laminate floors and streamlined contemporary decor in bright colors. Premium units have a more subdued style, thanks to a neutral earth-tone palette, classic wooden furniture, and appealing bathrooms with dark wood accents and deep soaking tubs. Units in the annex section have not been renovated, and feature simple, somewhat out-of-date decor, terra-cotta floors, and a neutral palette with pops of red in throw pillows. 

Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and mini-fridges, but there is a fee for use of in-room safes, and coffeemakers are only available in Family Rooms and Suites. Bathrooms also vary, but most have shower/tub combos with glass screens, wall-mounted hairdryers, and a few basic toiletries. Rooms range from compact twin rooms to large family suites with kitchenettes. All have furnished balconies offering pool or street views. Note that lower-level rooms may get street noise.

The Paradise Park has four large outdoor family pools with spacious decks and plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Entertainment is offered daily at the largest pool, where the vibe is always lively and can be a little loud during peak season. There is an additional adult-only plunge pool on a separate deck with bar service, loungers, and a whirlpool. The hotel’s two restaurant serve an above average international buffet, and the pool bars offer items such as burgers, ice cream, and drinks. 

Located on the eighth floor, the spa features five treatment cabins, a whirlpool, a sauna, showers, and a cold plunge pool. A few cardio and strength-training machines are available at the small gym. The colorful kids’ club offers lots of indoor and indoor activities for children between four and 12. There are also a playground and several ping-pong and pool tables scattered around the property.
