Hotel Ocean View is an upper-middle-range, adult-only property with a relaxed atmosphere and setting a seven-minute walk from the beach. The design throughout is chic and modern, with a beachy flair thanks to neutral-tone furnishings with pops of blue. There are 136 rooms, all of which promise a balcony (some with a sea view), modern amenities such as air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and a small kitchenette. Scene

Sleek and calm adult-only hotel

With an adult-only (16 and older) policy, and a far-from-raucous entertainment staff (some guests have even claimed that it can be a bit boring), the hotel can certainly be described as calm and peaceful. Catering to its mature guests, and having gone a renovation in 2015, the hotel's decor has an heir of sophistication. The design throughout is modern and minimal with clean lines and furnishings in neutral tones plus some pops of beachy blues. Interiors have hardwood floors, plush white and gray seating, light-teal accent walls and columns, greenery, and woven-wood pieces. Though undeniably chic, the effect is cozy and inviting. Expect to see mostly romancing couples here, plus the occasional group of friends.

Location

In a mostly quiet area, located within walking distance of the beach and popular sights

Guests who want to be near the action but not right in the middle of it, will appreciate the convenient location of Hotel Sunprime Ocean View. Beaches are accessible on foot, and there are plenty to choose from in the surrounding area, too. Playa de Troya is just a seven-minute walk from the hotel, while the famed Playa de la Americas is an 18-minute walk away, and Playa Torviscas is 26 minutes. Other popular sights and attractions are within walking distance as well, such as Siam Park (15 minutes), Water Sports Tenerife (20 minute), and Golf Las Americas (22 minutes). There is no shortage of restaurants, bars, and nightlife in the area, too. Tenerife South Airport is 17 minutes away by car.

Rooms

Contemporary guest rooms equipped with the comforts of home

Guests rooms have a similar attractive aesthetic to the public areas: Crisp, clean lines and contemporary furnishings in neutral hues with pretty pops of blue. They're outfitted in hardwood floors, minimal white and glass modern furniture, turquoise accent walls, and gray linens topped with navy-blue throw pillows. Junior Suites have a small dining area, lounge chair, and vanity area, while Suites offer more space and a separate sitting area that's fitted with a sofa and glass coffee table. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, stovetop, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. A furnished balcony has either a sea, pool, or garden view. Bathrooms come with a walk-in shower that isn't fully enclosed, which can cause water to leak out onto the bathroom floor -- best to put down a towel or take extra caution in this area. A bathrobe, hairdryer, and soap are provided, but no shampoo or conditioner. Use of the safe requires a fee.

Features

Well-sized pool, rooftop solarium and hot tub, but average buffet

Whether indoors or out, guests will have plenty to do on-site. Outside, guests have their choice of soaking up the sun poolside or on the rooftop solarium. Both areas are fitted with dozens of free sunbeds and umbrellas. The rooftop terrace also has a whirlpool and lovely views of the ocean. For those who want to spend as much time outside as possible, the Lobby Bar offers a spacious outdoor lounge area. While not outdoors, the buffet eatery has floors-to-ceiling windows that overlook the pool. All-inclusive and half-board packages are available, but food receives mixed reviews for variety and temperature. Inside, the small spa has treatment rooms for massages and the spacious fitness center offers plenty of cardio and weight-training equipment. A small market sells drinks (including liquor), snacks, and sundries. Entertainment is low-key and is considered mediocre by some.
