Granada Park Apartments

Set in landscaped gardens and housed in several pink and yellow buildings with white window frames, the Granada Park looks pleasant and serene from the outside. Grassy areas are limited, but the pebble gardens dotted with palm trees, tropical flowers, and cacti are appealing, and the large pool deck has lots of loungers and a few umbrellas. Simple interiors are dated, especially in the lobby, which has three wicker couches with tired upholstery, floral-painted tiles above three computers, and salmon-colored wall accents. Doors do lead to a pleasant terrace with some seating and nice views. 

Most guests here are couples and families with children, and the vibe is busy during the day, thanks to poolside activities. In the evening, however, the music stops well before midnight at the bar, and nights tend to be quiet. Guests seeking hotel entertainment should note that past guests have commented on the poor quality of the performances.

The hotel is located on a steep hill in a residential area outside of Los Cristianos. There isn’t much in the immediate vicinity, but restaurants, bars, and shops in the city center can be reached on foot in about 15 to 20 minutes. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Los Cristianos town and its beach a couple of times a day. There are a few family-friendly attractions nearby, including Siam Park and Aqualand Costa Adeje, both less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The Granada Park Apartments are a 15-minute drive to the airport. 

There are 131 one- and two-bedroom apartments at Granada Park, each with a separate living area, an open kitchen, and a furnished balcony. While the units are painted a cheerful yellow, furnishings are dated throughout, including the basic wooden furniture painted blue, thin blue floral bedspreads, and old tube-style TVs. Prints of Salvador Dali and Wassily Kandinsky prints add personality, though they feel a bit out of place. There are ceiling fans in every room, but air-conditioning is only available on request and for a fee; other amenities, such as Wi-Fi and safes, also incur charges. Useful kitchens feature four-burner stovetops, full-size fridges, and ovens, but electric kettles and microwaves are only available for a fee. Straightforward bathrooms outfitted in tan tile have shower/tub combos, bidets, and wall-mounted hairdryers, but no toiletries. Some rooms have distant ocean views.

Granada Park Apartments has all the facilities you would expect of an all-inclusive leisure hotel. The three outdoor pools are pleasant and include a large heated one and a kiddy pool. There are plenty of loungers on the pool deck, and a few palm trees and umbrellas provide some shade. The hotel has a daily entertainment program during the day, and in the evening there are family-friendly live shows that end before midnight; past guests have given the performances poor reviews, however. Mini-golf, a game room with arcade machines, and a playground are nice perks for families with young children. Free shuttle service to Los Cristianos is provided several times a day year-round. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. 

The main restaurant serves buffet fare for breakfast and dinner, but food receives mixed reviews and can get repetitive after a few days. The poolside bar offers fast food, drinks, and snacks throughout the day, and is the only restaurant open for lunch. Though there are all-inclusive packages available, not all alcohol is included and past guests tend to report that it's not worth it. There is a small supermarket on-site with food and drink items, but guests looking to cook in their apartment will find few groceries here.
