The Dan Tel Aviv is notable for its excellent location right across the street from the Mediterranean sea and near some of the city's best nightlife. It's a solid option in this part of the city and has been around for decades, but the level of luxury doesn't quite live up to the hotel's advertised five-star status. Rooms, though contemporary, are a bit underwhelming, and despite renovations, the hotel feels a bit older and a bit more corporate than might be expected for this caliber of property. Still, the amazing free breakfast (which the hotel is known for), the impressive roster of features (indoor and outdoor pools, gym, sauna, treatment rooms, sun deck...), and the ocean views from many of the common spaces are major draws.
