Scene
A two-level lodge with adobe designs and picnic areas
Resembling a small campus, El Pueblo Lodge is a two-level adobe motel with three acres of property that includes lawns, gravel walkingpaths, pine trees, barbecue picnic areas, and a small dog park. Painted Pueblo
designs and petroglyphs on the outside of buildings add New
Mexican character. Lawns offer picnic tables, lounge chairs, gazebos withbarbecue grills, and horseshoe games. A small stream runs through the
property when there’s rain.The lodge’s small entrance
is adorned with folk art decor and a viga ceiling. The interior lobby is
charming with Southwestern decorations, terra-cotta tiles, and a front desk with an adobe curved window. The breakfast room continues the motifs found
in other common areas. A garden terrace offers a flower-filled well, portable
heaters, and green patio tables with umbrellas.
Location
Within walking distance to Taos Plaza and other local sights
The property is relatively close to an
assortment of attractions. Taos Plaza -- with its galleries, shops, restaurants,
and bars -- is an 11-minute walk southwest from the lodge. Kit Carson Home
and Museum, Historic Taos Trolley Tours, and Taos Art Museum are all within
walking distance as well. Driving west to Rio Grande Gorge Bridge takes 15
minutes while it’s a 30-minute drive in the opposite direction to Taos Ski Valley. (Taos
Mountain Casino is much closer by.) Santa Fe Municipal Airport is 90 minutes south and Albuquerque International Sunport is more than two
hours away.

the lodge come with king or queen beds, with some spaces offering two queen beds. Southwestern textiles, viga
ceilings, and kiva fireplaces add New Mexican charm that is a welcome surprise at this price point. Features include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, tea/coffeemakers,
air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. There’s also a three-bedroom condominium with
three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a fireplace. Patios or screened balconies offer
