Large, mostly stylish rooms in shades of gray

Rooms at the Rydges World Square are available in multiple configurations and all are spacious by Sydney standards. Decor is mostly modern and stylish, and rooms are decked out in many shades of gray and taupe, with luxurious velvet and handsome tweed fabrics in the soft furnishings. Some rooms are sharper than others; Deluxe Rooms tend to have less contemporary light wood veneer headboards and desks, while Executive Rooms have smart dark furniture with clean lines and attractive abstract photography on the walls. They all feature air-conditioning, 24-hour room service, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, safe, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a coffeemaker. Rooms with balconies are also available, and suites have large separate living areas. Bathrooms are modern, with tan tile floors and walls plus separate tubs and showers, a hairdryer, and toiletries.

Features

Bar, restaurant, and even a brewery on-site

The hotel has a handsome Italian restaurant on-site, The Sphere, which serves sophisticated, rustic dishes like rabbit cacciatore as well as freshly made pasta dishes and pizzas. A continental and buffet breakfast is also available in the restaurant daily, although it’s not included in the room rate. There’s a trendy bar located in the lobby, The Cidery Bar and Kitchen. It has a great cocktail menu and also

serves local and imported wines, ciders, and craft beers -- the brewery, which makes the bar's apple and guava ciders, is available for tours with advanced booking. Snacks are available in the bar as well, from pulled pork sliders and salt and pepper squid, to handmade pizzas cooked in the wood fired oven. The bar has a great outside deck which overlooks the World Square precinct, and is a popular nightspot at the weekends when there’s a DJ. A small fitness center is available, as is a laundry room. Business guests can use the computer stations and printing facilities in the business center, and there’s a large meeting room too. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, and parking is available for a daily fee, which can be hefty.
