Basic budget hotel popular with sports fans, athletes, and families
The Ibis Budget Sydney Olympic Park Hotel is a basic, affordable hotel that attracts budget travelers who need to be near the area's sports facilities. The white facade is all hard angles and cement. The hotel also gets a lot of families, as it's in an area where a lot of athletics carnivals (multi-sport events common in Australia in which individuals or teams from different area clubs or schools compete) take place. The lobby has pale yellow walls and a small Internet station with a couple of computers, but no proper seating. A rack of brochures stands in front of the elevator bank. Breakfast is served in a light room with floor-to-ceiling windows, lightwood tables, and white chairs.
