Bottom Line

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport is a 330-room luxury hotel and the only airport hotel in Zurich actually attached to the airport. The centerpiece of the hotel is a spectacular 50-foot wine tower in the lobby with a related acrobatics show. The hotel offers a wide-range of business amenities, including over 50 meeting rooms along with conference rooms that can accommodate up to 600 people. Perfect for busy business travelers, the hotel has everything guests need on-site: a fitness center, sauna, restaurant, bar, and more—not to mention the attached airport. Scene

Sophisticated and stylish with futuristic accents

Radisson Blu Hotel at Zurich Airport offers modern style with cool tones and clean lines that reflect its status as a business hotel -- though it's not without plenty of fun accents. With mottled gray tiled floors and black accents, the atrium-style lobby shows off a central wine bar with a spectacular glass tower that rises over 50 feet, is filled with wine bottles, and changes colors with unique LED lighting. As if that’s not enough, wine bottles in the tower are retrieved by cable-lifted “Wine Angels” who perform aerial acrobatics. While the hotel’s design is sleek and modern, it also manages to incorporate bright and eclectic accents that add to the chic mix. For example, the hotel’s lounge has mid-century Swan chairs in baby blue and lime green set against rich black and dark blue walls.

Location

Attached to the Zurich airport, 10 minutes to the heart of Zurich

Attached directly to the Zurich Airport, the Radisson Blu is a brief walk to the airport check-in and gives direct access to airport shops and restaurants as well as to the Zurich Airport railway station. Guests can walk to the train station in two minutes and take a train to downtown Zurich, arriving in city's center in 10 minutes. But with so many on-site amenities, the Radisson encourages guests to stay put.

Rooms

Eclectic, modern style with designer furniture and lots of amenities

While rooms range significantly in size, style, and decor, they all feature designer furniture and reflect the spirit of the common areas, with sleek, modern lines and tasteful, eclectic accents. For example, One Bedroom Suites have black and gray furniture and carpeting and white walls, but these neutral tones are pleasantly offset with bright details like highlighter-green pillows, a fluorescent-pink television cabinet, and turquoise accents. The bathrooms also range significantly in style and size, some with full-tiled showers in gray and white, others with freestanding bathtubs. All contain free toiletries by This Works. All rooms also have free, high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen LCD TVs with cable, coffee and tea stations, and a minibar. Some rooms come with extra amenities, such as free non-alcoholic drinks from the minibar, Bose sound systems, bathrobes and slippers, a free morning newspaper, or Nespresso coffeemakers. While most guests find the rooms surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel -- thanks to soundproof windows -- some guests facing the atrium occasionally complain of hearing noise from the lobby.
