Sunriver Resort is a sprawling, forested  resort township, just south of Bend. Popular with vacationing Oregonians and Portlanders on business retreats, Sunriver has a large variety of vacation homes, cabins, and hotel rooms and suites, most with elegant, woodsy furnishings and cozy touches such as patios with adirondack chairs and stone fireplaces. The resort also has a ton of amenities, including a horse stable offering trail rides, an indoor pool, four golf courses (including one that gets regular accolades from the golf media), and multiple restaurants, and the entire place is connected by bicycle trails (bike being the most common form of transportation here). However, as it's in the middle of the forest, guests should be aware that along with resident prairie dogs and bats there are a lot of moths here in the summer months.
