of the mountains. On the second and third floors, interconnecting balconies with
rustic wooden railings run along the front of the building. The atmosphere of
the interiors is of a cozy mountain lodge: The welcoming living room area in
the lobby is bright and cheery, thanks to the high ceiling and a couple of
over-sized leather sofas and plaid armchairs set around an imitation stone fireplace. Old-fashioned skis, snowshoes, and
toboggans decorate the walls. The Inn at Steamboat is a popular place to stay
year-round and most of the guests are couples or families on an active holiday.
